UMG Nashville expands its A&R department with new hire Blain Rhodes as Director of A&R. Rhodes’ most recent experience includes nearly four years as a manager with Warner Chappell Music in Nashville, where he provided creative support across the company’s roster, assisting in the discovery of new talent and the development of the publisher’s signed songwriters. While there, Rhodes placed songs with artists including Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Frankie Ballard, Lee Brice, Craig Campbell, Billy Currington, Scotty McCreery, Jon Pardi and many more.

HOME FREE PERFORMS HOLIDAY CLASSIC “I’LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS” ON FOX & FRIENDS THIS MORNING (12/15)

Columbia Records’ country quintet Home Free warmed hearts this morning (12/15) on FOX & Friends with a special rendition of the winter classic “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” from their holiday album, FULL OF CHEER. Adding to the spirit of the season, portions of the performance were featured split-screen with footage from their music video showing soldiers reuniting with their families for Christmas. The time-honored holiday favorite, recorded in 1943 by Bing Crosby, was originally in tribute to the soldiers overseas during World War II that weren’t able to make it home for Christmas. Home Free is currently in the midst of their sold-out HOME FREE FOR THE HOLIDAYS Tour running through December 20 and will embark in January for their European debut.

ROOM IN THE INN EMBARKS ON ITS 30TH WINTER SEASON PROGRAM

With cold weather approaching, Nashville-based Room In The Inn and Founder, Charles Strobel, celebrate the 30th winter season of providing the homeless shelter and meals throughout Middle Tennessee. With the aid of more than 190 congregations and 6,500 volunteers, over 1,000 unhoused persons will have a place to stay through the program this season. As many continue to show support, the 16th Annual Nashville Unlimited Christmas Concert will take place tonight (12/15) featuring Emmylou Harris, Three Ring Circle and other surprise guests at Christ Church Cathedral, as all proceeds directly support Room In The Inn.
