Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Gifts Three Grants To Shelters On Behalf Of Their Volunteers

Volunteers from Morning Meadow Animal Rescue.

Animal-loving, country superstar Miranda Lambert changed things up for Giving Tuesday. Rather than asking her mutt-loving fans to donate to her 501c3 nonprofit MuttNation Foundation, she asked them to commit to volunteering for a day at their local shelter and subsequently announced that three of those lucky shelters would be randomly selected to each receive a $1,000 donation on behalf of their volunteer.

“We didn’t know if one person or 100 people would rise to the challenge and were thrilled by the response of 399 rescue-loving folks who signed on. Nothing makes me happier than to see people actively participate in making a positive difference at their local level,” said Miranda.

“We could not do what we do without our volunteers” added Paul Robinson of Morning Meadow Animal Rescue (Fordyce, AR), one of the three selected shelters. The other two rescues receiving MuttNation grants are BARC Humane Society of Palestine, TX and Dogwood Animal Shelter of Osage Beach, MO.

MuttNation encourages everyone who has the time to volunteer at their local animal shelter – and to share your stories and photos online and tag MuttNation.

About MuttNation Foundation
Founded by Miranda and her mom, Bev Lambert, in 2009, MuttNation is a donation-supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay & neuter and educate the public about the benefits of these actions. MuttNation also works with transport partners to assist and relocate animals under threat of euthanasia and during times of natural disaster. With a goal of finding a forever home for every shelter animal, MuttNation supports animal rescues across the country, hosts adoption events throughout the year, provides positive reinforcement for the shelter adoption experience, works to raise awareness for its causes and develops and implements initiatives to further its mission-driven goals. ABOUT DYLAN SCOTT:
Curb Records’ hot rising star Dylan Scott is the total package – a powerful singer with a deep, resonating drawl; an old-soul songwriter with a young spirit; a heartthrob with an easy smile; and a dreamer who followed his father’s footsteps to Nashville. Critics expect big things from his hometown anthem, “Nothing to Do Town,” with Taste of Country dubbing his current chart-climbing single the “easiest radio hit of 2019.” As Scott’s NOTHING TO DO TOWN – EP is anticipated to drop on April 26, the Louisiana native wrapped his headlining NOTHING TO DO TOWN TOUR 2019 and is set to join Chris Young’s RAISED ON COUNTRY TOUR 2019 in May. Nominated for Best New Country Artist at the all-genre 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards (3/14), Scott’s streams are nearing 600 million with sales topping 4 million, and he was named among Country Radio Seminar 2019’s coveted New Faces of Country Music® Class of 2019. DYLAN SCOTT, his breakout album, delivered two consecutive Top 5 standouts with GOLD-certified “Hooked” and his first #1, PLATINUM-certified “My Girl.”

About Clint Black

It is one of the most storied careers in modern music. Clint Black surged to superstardom as part of the fabled Class of ’89, reaching #1 with five consecutive singles from his triple-platinum debut, Killin’ Time. He followed that with the triple-platinum Put Yourself in My Shoes, and then a string of platinum and gold albums throughout the ’90s. Perhaps most impressively, Clint wrote or co-wrote every one of his more than three dozen chart hits, including “A Better Man,” “Where Are You Now,” “When My Ship Comes In,” “A Good Run of Bad Luck,” “Summer’s Comin’,” “Like the Rain” and “Nothin’ But the Taillights,” part of a catalog that produced 22 #1 singles and made him one of the most successful singer/songwriters of the modern era.  Along the way, Clint has sold over 20 million records, earned more than a dozen gold and platinum awards in the U.S. and Canada, landed nearly two dozen major awards and nominations, won a GRAMMY Award, and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Josh Phillips Debuts “In A Bar Somewhere” March 8

NASHVILLE, TN (March 1, 2019) – North Carolina tunesmith JOSH PHILLIPS serves up a new music with “In A Bar Somewhere,” out March 8 via Big Machine Records. He co-penned the lovelorn track alongside Erik Dylan and Randy Montana, who also produced with Jonathan Singleton. The lyrics capture nostalgia of a past relationship: If you’re ever in a bar somewhere / At a back-booth table, peelin’ those labels off High Life beers / That miss me song comes on like neon, loud and clear / And you think you’ve had too much / Just let that good buzz call me up and I’ll be there. Fans can pre-save “In A Bar Somewhere” today on Spotify: https://joshphillips.lnk.to/IABS_PreSavePR.

Hailing from Lee County, an area where brick manufacturing, cotton and tobacco reign supreme, Josh is taking fans back to his hometown in a personal new video. Each scene highlights what made him into the songwriter, artist and person he is today. WATCH NOW: https://joshphillips.lnk.to/GetToKnowPR.

Josh shares, “The biggest thing for me has always been for people to understand that I’ve been where they’ve been. I’ve been the guy that has to work a little extra, so he can get a lawn seat at a concert, so when people from back home listen to my music, I want it to remind them of where we came from, how we live and how hard we work.”

His live show is a force to be reckoned with, having performed alongside some of the genre’s top acts including Sam Hunt, Cole Swindell, Chris Janson and Lee Brice. Following coveted slots on major tours with Brantley Gilbert and Luke Combs, Josh will hit the road as direct support for Tyler Farr on select dates Spring 2019, kicking off tonight in Chicago, IL.
