Offering customers $5 special “Give a Gift” to Nashville-area nursing home residents

Nashville, Tenn. — Colts Chocolate Company hopes to make sweet strides in Easter cheer while offering patrons a special gift to give friends and neighbors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities who have been impacted by Tennessee’s “Safer at Home” order.

Colts Chocolate Co. offers Easter baskets, treats and delicious desserts and southern pies.

Since these elderly residents are unable to have visitors or leave during this time of isolation, Colts wants to help create joy for them. The company is partnering with Nashville-area senior living communities to receive chocolate gifts purchased on www.ColtsChocolates.com.

“Although we can’t celebrate Easter as we normally would this year, we can still make the holiday sweet,” said Kate Blocher, President of Colts Chocolate Co. “As we anticipate an increase in traffic on our website, we wanted to be able help lift people’s spirits with Colts Chocolates. The $5 sampler is a way to help spread happiness and brighten someone’s day.”

Colts Chocolate Co. offers patrons a special $5 gift sampler for friends and neighbors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities who have been impacted by Tennessee’s “Safer at Home” order.

Customers who make an online purchase can choose to send Colts small samplers for only $5 each (regularly $12 each) to these residents. Shoppers can include a greeting and communicate if they want it sent to a specific person or persons.

Colts Chocolate Co., is home of the original Colts Bolts (milk and dark chocolate with peanut butter and almonds). Easter baskets, treats and delicious desserts and southern pies are available through online and phone orders to be shipped to your door (or the door of someone you love) or locally for curbside pickup / takeout (10 am – 4 pm, Monday – Friday); free Nashville / Davidson County delivery; and daily delivery via Door Dash, Grubhub, Postmates and UberEats.

“We put the offer up Friday, communicated through our newsletter and social media, and we already had one customer buy 50 special offer samplers over the weekend.”

Colts, considered an essential business to service the food supply chain including local restaurants, is staying open with limited hours.

“Our kiosk in the Green Hills Mall has temporarily closed,” said Blocher. “We’ve had to lay off people but as soon as we have any ability to put them back to work, that’s what we’re going to do.”

“Chocolates have a lot of antioxidants which are beneficial,” Blocher said. “Chocolate brings joy and sunshine into people’s lives and we need our spirits lifted right now.”

Colts Chocolate Company came from small beginnings in Nashville, Tennessee in 1984. Original owner Mackenzie Colt put her hand to the creation of amazing desserts and chocolates which became highly coveted by friends, family, musicians and celebrities around town.

Now popular across the country in specialty shops, retail, restaurants and hotels, Colts remains a crafted-by-hand chocolatier to this day. Capture the true taste of Nashville as you enjoy Colts creative assortment of delicious chocolates and southern desserts.  www.ColtsChocolates.com
