Luke Combs Debut Album On Columbia Released Today

River House Artists / Columbia Nashville singer/songwriter Luke Combs releases his highly-anticipated debut album This One’s For You today, June 2. The album, which Combs co-wrote all twelve tracks on, produced the North Carolina native’s PLATINUM-certified two-week No. 1 hit single, “Hurricane”- the first for a debut solo country male artist in 9 years – and debuts today at No. 1 atop the iTunes Country Albums chart and No. 2 on iTunes Overall Albums Chart. Remarking on the album, NPR Music heralds Combs for “demonstrating current pop fluency and a connection with the sturdy contributions of previous generations of country performers” and Entertainment Weekly calls This One’s For You a “dynamic debut album.”  Listen to This One’s For You HERE.

For the release of This One’s For You, Combs kicks off a week of back-to-back appearances and special performances for fans in New York City where he will make his national TV debut on NBC’s Today (Monday, June 5) performing in both the 8am and 10am hours.

On Wednesday June 7, Combs teams with Rolling Stone Country for “Luke Combs: Live & Loud from Nashville”, an intimate performance & conversation live stream from Aurora Nashville. The livestream concert event will be broadcast globally across Rolling Stone and Rolling Stone Country digital platforms at 12:00p CT / 1:00p ET. Fans can catch Combs on the CMT Music Awards later that evening where he is nominated for BREAKTHROUGH VIDEO OF THE YEAR for his first-ever music video for “Hurricane” which was shot in his home state of North Carolina and has garnered over 33 million views.

True to form as the artist who “earned his newfound success by tirelessly delivering the goods on the road” (Rolling Stone), Combs continues his whirlwind release week taking his trademark rowdy live shows on the road for fans with performances at the 2017 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester (June 8), the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach (June 9) and the 2017 CMA Music Festival (June 10 & 11.)

In addition to his performances, fans can catch Combs alongside fellow country peers including Sam Hunt, Margo Price, Shooter Jennings and more for Noisey’s feature documentary series “Under The Influence: How Outlaw Country Keeps The Renegade Independent Spirit Alive”, out today on Noisey.com. 

Forecast as the “artist to watch in 2017”, Combs stormed into the Country music format earlier this year being selected by iHeart Media’s Bobby Bones for his “Class Of 2017”, featured in Billboard’s 2017 Predictions Issue as one of four all-genre artists anticipated to breakthrough this year and topped “Watch Lists” curated by Huffington Post (Top 10 Country Artists To Watch In 2017), Pandora (Artists To Watch in 2017) and Rolling Stone (2017 Country Music Preview: Most Anticipated Albums, Tours, Festivals).

Blake Shelton Will Headline “Stars For Second Harvest” On June 6, John Rich Added

Music superstar Blake Shelton will headline, for the second straight year, the 13th annual Stars for Second Harvest benefit on Tuesday, June 6 at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. Shelton will headline after acoustic performances by one of music city’s fastest rising country stars, Chris Lane, and songwriting duo, The Warren Brothers.

John Rich just added, too.  Rich is one half of the multi platinum duo Big and Rich. He has scored hit singles in the solo, duo and band categories as a combined singer, songwriter and producer. He is also known for his TV career hosting 3 seasons of CMT’s highly rated “Gone Country,” as well as NBC’s “Nashville Star” and CW’s “The Next.” John has written and published more than 40 hit songs for other acts, and has produced records on artists like Gretchen Wilson, Jewel, James Otto, Randy Owen of Alabama, Cowboy Troy, John Anderson and many more. John is also the only artist to score the ASCAP songwriter of the year award three years in a row.

Thanks to the generosity and help from everyone in country music and its fans, the show to date has raised ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000) and provided FOUR MILLION MEALS (4,000,000) for Middle Tennesseans at risk of hunger.

 

All proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

On Saturday, June 10, Sofar Nashville will be hosting a showcase with 3 surprise local and international performers at a secret location in Music Row. 

Sofar Sounds is a global movement that brings the magic back to live music by hosting secret gigs in intimate and unique spaces for emerging and developing artists in front of passionate music fans, capturing shows in video and distributing across their channels. As an international, mostly volunteer-led community, Sofar is about providing authentic cultural experiences and creating a sense of community around people’s love for music in cities all around the world. Sofar’s community now spans over 310 cities in 60 countries and runs about 500 shows per month.
