Arista Nashville/RCA Records singer/songwriter Cam is celebrating a huge week with a Top 5 single, an album release, and the first GRAMMY® Award nomination of her career. Cam was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for her compellingly powerful smash single, “Burning House.”
On word of the nomination, Cam shared, “I don’t even know what to say. I’ve been dreaming about this for such a long time – I can’t believe it’s actually happening.”
The GRAMMY nomination comes just days before the December 11 release of Cam’s full-length, major-label debut album, Untamed. Featuring “Burning House,” Untamed spans 11 tracks, all co-written by Cam, with the collection produced by GRAMMY®-winner Jeff Bhasker (Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, FUN., The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift) and two-time Album of the Year GRAMMY nominee Tyler Johnson (Ed Sheeran, OneRepublic, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Mikky Ekko). Bhasker is among this year’s GRAMMY nominees, with a pair of nods, one of which is Producer of the Year, Non-Classical for a body of work that includes the Cam songs “Runaway Train” and “Burning House.”
Currently RIAA-certified Gold, “Burning House” continues its climb up the country airplay charts this week, making its debut in the Top 5. Next week, Cam will perform the song as she makes her debut appearance on NBC’s Today show on Tuesday, December 15.
Also newly announced, Cam will return to the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on January 8 for her fourth appearance on the show. The Opry is now featuring Cam’s Untamed album in #THECIRCLE on Opry.com, including exclusive videos and chances to win. Visit the page at http://smarturl.it/CamOpryTheCircle.
