Edgehill, a neighborhood coffee shop and restaurant in Edgehill Village, is set to move into its new location on Monday, November 9.
The new space, situated next door to its current location at 1201 Villa Place, increases the restaurant’s square footage by 500 square feet. The move will provide for 50 more seats and the addition of a full kitchen, giving Head Chef Michael Gilbert the ability to create a full lunch and dinner menu.
The menu will include current favorites with the addition of new items such as the Hot Chicken Sandwich, Edgehill’s spin on a classic Nashville favorite, The Edgehill Burger made with local ground beef, bacon, smoked cheddar, mayo and homemade pickles, Fried Chicken, an entree of buttermilk fried chicken, brown-butter Brussels sprouts and a buttermilk biscuit, Southern Scotch Eggs, hard-boiled eggs wrapped in ground bacon then battered and fried served with buttermilk greens, house-made pickles and herb bread with tomato jam, and Tomato Braised Beef Short Ribs slow cooked in an herb tomato sauce with haystack potatoes and asparagus. French fries have also been added to the menu as the side option for all sandwiches. In addition, brunch service will launch within the coming month featuring the Hot Chicken and Biscuits, similar to the Hot Chicken Sandwich instead served with a biscuit instead of bread, and buttermilk slaw, Brunch Charcuterie Board, which includes bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, tomato jam, pickle beets and carrots, Fried Chicken with pimento mac and cheese and skillet apples, and Sweet Potato Biscuit Bites.
The beverage program, led by Beverage Director Jack Egan, will be expanded to include wine and beer, complementing the existing coffee program. Beer will be served immediately with wine to follow in the coming weeks. The exclusive Edgehill coffee blend from local favorite coffee roaster, 8th & Roast will still be available as well as specialty hot drinks, teas and traditional hot and cold beverages. Plans are also under way to add a cocktail menu by the end of this year.
Father-son ownership team, Mike and Winn Elliott, are excited about opening in the new space and pleased with the progress and changes taking place in Edgehill Village, “We have enjoyed being an anchor tenant for the last five years in Edgehill Village,” said Winn Elliott. “The new renovations and restorations have added tremendous value to the area and will bring in some big name tenants that can only enhance and promote our business even further. We’re looking forward to seeing the continued growth and progress in the community.”
Edgehill has been a longstanding tenant in Edgehill Village since 2010.
