Family Month at the world renowned Johnny Cash Museum kicks off September 17th when Grammy award-winning producer, author and singer John Carter Cash performs at the bi-monthly Songwriters Night in the café. The event, which is free and open to the general public, is just one of many new offerings at the attraction that National Geographic listed as the “#1 Pitch Perfect Museum Worldwide.”
“We are pleased to welcome John Carter Cash and Ana Cristina to our songwriter’s night,” says Johnny Cash Museum founder Bill Miller. “Just as Johnny did, we want to encourage and inspire writers to follow their dreams. John Carter follows in the footsteps of his mother and father by supporting up and coming writers.”

The Johnny Cash Museum launched the Songwriters Night series last month with former Johnny Cash TV Show guest and Woodstock legend Melanie Safka (Brand New Key). This bi-monthly series starts at 7:30 PM every other Thursday and features the top writers and rising talent in Music City.
About John Carter Cash
As the only child of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, he was destined for career in music and continues to carry on their legacy. This owner of The Cash Cabin Studio received his first Grammy in 1999 for his production alongside his mother June Carter Cash on her album Press On. They would capture a second Grammy in 2003 for Best Traditional Folk album with Wildwood Flower. To date, his production credits include projects for Loretta Lynn, Josh Turner, Brooks & Dunn, Elvis Costello, Dr. Ralph Stanley, George Jones, Mavis Staples, Sheryl Crow, Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Rodney Crowell and Vince Gill. He’s just as talented in print as he is behind the board penning three children’s books, two biographies on his parents and one fantasy novel. Ana Cristina
At the age of 19, she became the first Hispanic in history to perform the “Star Spangled Banner” at a Presidential Inauguration. Her duet with MichaelAngelo of the song “You Can Change the World” and its bilingual counterpart “El Mundo Puedes Cambiar” become the theme song for the World Cup Germany 2006. Today, she continues to perform and record with her boyfriend John Carter Cash.

Ruston Kelly
At only 25, Ruston is gaining great esteem as a sought after songwriter in the Nashville scene. Ruston has toured with the likes of O.A.R., The Lumineers and G. Love to name a few, and graced the stages of festivals such as Bonnaroo, Forecastle, and Wakarusa.

The “#1 Must Visit Museum for Music Lovers” by Conde Nast’s Traveler, The Johnny Cash Museum most recently teamed with Nashville’s oldest and most-honored coffee company Bongo Java to perk up downtown Nashville with the addition of a coffee shop and cafe to the Museum.
