ASCEND AMPHITHEATER ANNOUNCES JOURNEYS AS OFFICIAL CONCERT SERIES PRESENTING SPONSOR

Ascend Amphitheater announced that Journeys will be the presenting sponsor of the Live Nation Concert Series that kicks off on July 30 with two sold-out shows headlined by seven-time GRAMMY nominee Eric Church.

Ascend Amphitheater’s four-day grand opening weekend will mark the opening of the 11-acre Riverfront Park with a free open house for the community on Sunday, Aug. 2 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., which will include tours of the amphitheater and performances by local bands and DJs. The park includes a 1.5 acre lawn known as “The Green,” as well as previously announced multi-use greenway trails, ornamental gardens, Nashville’s first downtown dog park, WiFi access, and exercise and sports facilities, including two basketball half-courts.  

In addition to many onsite activities Ascend Amphitheater’s opening season features a stacked lineup including sold-out shows by Phish and Janet Jackson and shows with tickets on sale now including Chicago & Earth Wind and Fire, The Smashing Pumpkins & Marilyn Manson, Idina Menzel, Peter Frampton & Cheap Trick, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Florence and The Machine, Grace Potter with Lake Street Dive and more.
