LAURA BELL BUNDY is giving her stance on the recent debate surrounding comments from a radio consultant indicating that females should be taken off Country radio. In an interview with FOX411 Country, she shares, “That guy is not gonna get laid. That is my official word [laughs].”
The multi-faceted entertainer, who has appeared in significant roles on television (Hart of Dixie and Anger Management) and Broadway (Legally Blonde and Wicked), joins Superstars like Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert and Jennifer Nettles in discussing the controversial issue. “I’m the type of person who likes to hear women. I like to hear from our perspective,” LBB continues. “I like the tambour of a woman’s voice [and] I like the subject matter that women are speaking about.”
LBB exhibits more candor and encourages empowering each other on her forthcoming album ANOTHER PIECE OF ME (Big Machine Records), slated for worldwide release beginning June 9. Specifically on “I Am What I Am,” the Kentucky native sings, “no line between what I think and what I say … I am
.what I am.” She will show fans all of her diverse sides during CMA Music Festival in Nashville on Friday, June 12 from 4:05 – 4:30P on the Belk Park Stage. For tour dates and more, visit laurabellbundy.com.
