Evans released her holiday album At Christmas last month to critical praise. The 10-track album, produced by Mark Bright, includes some of the best known and celebrated holiday songs including “Silent Night,” “Oh Holy Night,” and “Winter Wonderland,” as well as a special rendition of “12 Days of Christmas” that features vocals from two of her daughters Olivia (12) and Audrey (10). The title track is an upbeat original song co-written by Shane Stevens and Toby Lightman.
Evans recently released the music video for “Put My Heart Down,” that fans can check out at http://tinyurl.com/PMHDVideo. The video, which was shot in Nashville at the historical Riverside Mansion, had Sara working again with Award-winning directorPeter Zavadil (Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley) who has worked with Sara on almost all of her videos including her most recent for “Slow Me Down.” Evans performed ”Put My Heart Down” on the October 29th episode of the hit ABC drama Nashville with one of the series’ leading men Luke Wheeler played by actor Will Chase, which is available now on iTunes. “Put My Heart Down” pulls fans in from the first note with its infectious melody and relatable subject matter of wanting to protect oneself in a relationship. The single is the follow-up to Slow Me Down’s title track, released earlier this Fall, which is Evans’ biggest first week Country radio Added single ever and fourteenth Top 20 single. Slow Me Down, which debuted at #2 on the Country Album Chart and landed in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, continues to win over fans and media alike being dubbed her best album to date. It is the follow-up album to 2011’s Stronger and was co-produced with Mark Bright (Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood) who Evans last worked with on her Platinum-selling #1 Country album Real Fine Place (2005). Evans’ signature powerful vocals are heard on every note of Slow Me Down which serves as a reminder of why she has had a level of success reserved for few.
