Country star Brantley Gilbert will rev up the excitement prior to the GEICO 400 with a pre-race concert at Chicagoland Speedway’s infield on Sunday, September 15. The first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup series will offer fans with a ticket to the race special access to the concert and grandstand seating. Pit and Infield Fan Zone Experience pass holders will be able to walk down to the infield to enjoy Brantley’s set, which will include #1 hits “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do.”
“Growing up around racing has given me a unique appreciation for what it means to be involved with the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup,” said Scott Borchetta, Big Machine Label Group President and CEO. “Anytime we have an opportunity to bring someone as talented as Brantley Gilbert, to a race of this magnitude to play in front of such an incredible group of NASCAR, we’re thrilled to do so. I know Brantley will put on an amazing show!”
Brantley is the reigning ACM New Male Artist and has garnered four #1 singles, impressive album sales of over 1 million and multiple award show nominations from the CMA, ACM, ACA & CMT Music Awards. His GOLD-certified album HALFWAY TO HEAVEN DELUXE, debuted at #2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and produced two GOLD-certified singles. As a celebrated songwriter, he has also penned #1 songs – “My Kinda Party,” “Dirt Road Anthem,” “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do.” Having wrapped up a headline tour as well as support dates with Tim McGraw, Brantley is currently back in the studio working on new music.
Though season ticket holders receive complimentary Pit and Infield Fan Zone Experience passes, they will also be available for purchase to non-season ticket holders. For $50, fans can purchase the pass for Sunday’s GEICO 400 that will put them close to the stage as Brantley performs.
“As one of our sport’s most anticipated events, the kick-off to the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup deserves one of music’s most exciting acts, and Brantley Gilbert certainly fits that mold,” said Scott Paddock, Chicagoland Speedway president. “We have a history of top-talent performing here and by continuing to provide our fans with first-class entertainment, along with the GEICO 400, a playoff caliber race that has paved the way for back-to-back Champions, we are confident that our guests will have the experience of a lifetime this September.”
