Free Weekly Lawn Parties in Centennial Park on Saturdays in September and October

Musicians Corner presents its Fall 2013 Season of free weekly lawn parties in Centennial Park on Saturday afternoons in September and October.

Last week, Musicians Corner announced its Fall 2013 Season Kick Off Celebration presented by Southwest® Airlines on Saturday, September 7 featuring musical performances by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Dynamites Featuring Charles Walker, and Daniel Ellsworth & The Great Lakes. Musicians Corner is proud to welcome a Barbershop Harmony Society Ensemble to the September 7 line up. Musicians Corner’s Fall 2013 Season continues every Saturday through October 26, with a special Sunday event on September 22.

Musicians CornerThe Fall 2013 Season features additional Main Stage performances by Shelby Lynne, Andrew Ripp, Caitlin Rose, Andrew Belle, Graham Colton, Mountain Heart, Sugar and the Hi Lows, The Vespers, Jenny & Tyler, The Fairfield Four, The Kingston Springs, The Black Cadillacs, Promised Land Sound, The Floorwalkers, Judah and The Lion, Donna the Buffalo, Young Summer, Anderson East, Jeffrey James, Gabriel Kelly, Josh Farrow, Wahida – The Sufi Second Line Featuring Jonell Mosser, and more to be announced. The Fall 2013 Season performance schedule can be seen at MusiciansCornerNashville.com/calendar. Lightning 100 Acoustic Stage performers will be announced next week.

“We had an incredibly successful Spring Season in Centennial Park,” said John Tumminello, executive director of Musicians Corner. “We’re excited to return in September with wonderful music, great food, fun for the kids, and a beautiful setting to continue a perfect Saturday tradition for people of all ages.”

Musicians Corner’s weekly lawn parties take place on the front lawn in Centennial Park from 12 to 5 p.m. Events feature a diverse line up of performers, a sampling of Nashville’s best food trucks, Kidsville activities, the Dog of the Day showcase, a local Beer Garden, and charity partner World Vision. Pre-Show Festivities include Mix 92.9 Kidsville activities, food trucks, and the Beer Garden Happy Hour. Pre-show activities take place from 12 to 1:30 p.m. and live music runs from 1:30 to 5 p.m.

To celebrate the start of its Fall 2013 Season, Southwest will provide audience members with the chance to win a pair of roundtrip airline tickets at the September 7 Kick Off event. Southwestis also hosting a national “Take The Stage” in Nashville artist promotion. One artist will be selected to win a trip to Nashville, perform on their Southwest flight, and at the Musicians Corner Fall 2013 Season Kick Off Celebration on September 7. At each event, Musicians Corner showcases its official charity partner, World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

Free parking for Musicians Corner, provided all season courtesy of HCA Plaza, is located in the HCA parking lots along Park Plaza on the northwest side of Centennial Park.
