MCA recording artist Kip Moore wrapped up a whirlwind CMA Music Festival week filled with fan events and his first-ever stadium performance slot. Moore had the sold-out LP Field crowd on their feet playing his back to back No. one songs “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” and “Beer Money” as well as his latest single “Hey Pretty Girl” which broke through to the Top 10 on the country songs charts this week.
“Standing up on that stage and playing for the biggest country music fans in the world was such an amazing and humbling experience,” said Moore. “I broke the set down a little bit and did ‘Hey Pretty Girl’ on a stool and could barely hear myself because the crowd was singing so loud. It’s hard to put into words how validating that is as a singer and songwriter. I will never forget that night.”
Before he took to the main stage, Moore was presented with a plaque commemorating more than two million downloads of tracks from his debut album UP ALL NIGHT. The album was the best selling debut album from any country artist released in 2012 and has spawned two chart-topping hits to date, including “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” which held the top spot on both charts for two weeks.
USA Today shadowed Moore for an extensive look into his CMA Music Festival experience following him to fan events, an acoustic performance, autograph signings and backstage at LP Field. To check out the video click here.
