Country superstar George Strait will be honored with the 2013 Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. Career Achievement Award at the Country Radio Hall of Fame Induction on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.

The CRB Achievement Award is presented to an individual artist or act that, through their creativity, vision, performance or leadership has made a significant contribution to the development and promotion of country music and country radio.

“George Strait has done a superb job promoting country music and country radio over the years. His dedication to the format and on-going contribution to the industry as a whole make him the perfect recipient for this award,” said Mike Culotta, CRS President.

Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves And Josh Turner Added To The Grand Ole Opry At CRS

Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves and Josh Turner, along with Greg Bates have been added to the performance lineup of the “Grand Ole Opry at CRS” show set for February 27th. As previously announced, Grand Ole Opry members Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and Vince Gill along with Dustin Lynch and Scotty McCreery are also set to perform.



Gill is set to host the special opry performance, and Radio Hall of Famer Bill Cody will be the announcer for the event, which is sponsored by Humana’s My Well-Being.

CRS 2013 New Faces of Country Music Show Lineup Announced

CRS Executive Director Bill Mayne states, “We are excited about the reaction to this event at the Seminar. Support from both the Radio and Records community has been overwhelming. It will certainly be one of the highlights of CRS this year”.

HLN Goes On Tour With Craig Campbell In ‘Road Warriors’

HLN followed country music entertainer Craig Campbell during a recent tour stop in Atlanta for the network’s popular series “Road Warriors. Cameras captured Campbell at home, on the road, enjoying his favorite restaurant in the city, performing for a capacity crowd at Wild Bills and competing at his favorite past-time, corn hole! The behind-the-scenes “Road Warriors” segment with Campbell can be seen Thursday, February 7 at 9AM EST during Morning Express with Robin Meade on HLN. This is Campbell’s second TV appearance in the last seven days, having just performed his hits “Outta My Head” and “Family Man” on Hallmark Channel’s MARIE.

Gary Allan Celebrates Two Sold Out Shows At Historic Ryman Auditorium

Gary AllanCountry star Gary Allan has much to celebrate. Last Friday, Allan put his April 17th show at the historic Ryman Auditorium on sale. In just 10 minutes, the show was sold out. The singer added a second show on April 19, which is now also sold out.

When Allan heard the news he said: “This is going to be a special pair of shows for all of us, the Ryman is magic.  My team and I have worked hard to get to this moment. I don’t take it lightly.”

Country Artist Jaida Dreyer To Release Debut Album, “I Am Jaida Dreyer,” Feb. 26

Jaida DreyerStreamsound Records recording artist Jaida Dreyer is set to release her debut album, I Am Jaida Dreyer, on Feb. 26. The album will be available on all major digital retailers, including iTunes and Amazon.

The breakout release features 10 original songs written or co-written by the singer and is produced by Grammy award-winning record producer Byron Gallimore (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sugarland).  The album features a special guest appearance by Sugarland’s Kristian Bush on the track “Boy Who Cried Love,” who co-wrote the song with her.

“Jaida’s music is so personal and authentic,” said Gallimore. “Not only is Jaida a great performer, but she is also a gifted writer and musician. Her charisma and soul completely shine right through on this album.”
