14 Year-Old Pop Singer Named Spokesperson For PACER, The National Bullying Prevention Center
14 year-old Pop music artist Colton Jacobson is set to release the first single “Unstoppable” from his forthcoming EP for free to the public on November 15th. In return, the singer is urging fans to donate to PACER, the National Bullying Prevention Center in an effort to help prevent bullying.
The free download will be available starting November 15th online at: www.coltonjacobson.com/stopbullying . Visitors will receive the song for free and have the opportunity to make a donation to PACER if they wish.
Jacobson, who was bullied at a younger age, recorded “Unstoppable” in hopes that the song would speak to everyone in an effort to bring awareness and to help prevent bullying. The pop singer recently previewed the song on YouTube as a lyric video that quickly became the #2 most popular music video on YouTube with over 1,175,000 views and growing.
On the heals of anti-bullying month of October, the young singer announced that he will serve as a spokesperson for PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center to further bring awareness and help prevent bullying. “We are thrilled to have Jacobson as a spokesperson,” says Julie Hertzog, Director of PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. “Colton is a very talented artist and he has a really powerful message for his peers. Through his music he can reach other teens in an impactful way, letting them know that it’s OK to be different, that it’s cool to be who you really are. He truly is ‘unstoppable.'”
The teenage singer quickly gained praise as a social media artist when he introduced himself to the world via YouTube. In less than six months, Jacobson’s videos received over 1,750,000 views and he gained over 100,000 Twitter followers, quickly building a foundation of fans that are truly inspired by his music. To date the singer has over 4.5 million views on his YouTube channel.
The Texas native will release his first EP titled Unstoppable in January 2013.
