Fans were finally able to quench their thirst for new music from Bucky Covington last week with the release of his long-awaited sophomore album GOOD GUYS on September 11, 2012. Here’s what some of the nation’s toughest critics are saying about the record:
COUNTRY WEEKLY
“He is as adept at the beautifully written heartbreak ballad…as he is on the rambunctious…”
GAC:
“a solid collection that serves as an important step for the young artist.”
NEW YORK TIMES
“…a testament to his vocal charm…”
ROUGHSTOCK
“Good Guys is Bucky Covington doing what he does best. He’s an emotive, effervescent vocalist with a winning personality and that personality and emotion is shown in abundance throughout the album.”
Bucky will donate a portion of the proceeds from the first week sales of Good Guys to benefit Help The Good Guys and The International Association of Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation. His work with the organization was recently highlighted on CNN’s Impact Your World.
Produced by Mark Miller and Dale Oliver and released on Bucky’s new label home eOne Music, GOOD GUYS features 12 tracks including the raucous, sing-along Shooter Jennings duet “Drinking Side Of Country,” which Covington co-wrote and co-produced. The music video for the latter had an epic debut, amassing over 2 million views and counting, and quickly becoming #1 on YouTube’s “Popular Around The Web” music chart and one of the Top Trending Videos overall. The neo-outlaw action video, which depicts Bucky and Shooter stirring up trouble in a tiny town, features cameo appearances by country star Kellie Pickler, X Games medalist Kenny Bartram and TNA wrestler Mickie James and can be seen HERE.
