Escape Day Spa: A Little Slice Of Heaven

Escape Day Spa

Escape reception + salon

I’m not afraid to admit it…I DO like a little pampering from time to time. Ok, a lot of the time! When I need to relax and feel pampered, one of my very favorite places to go is Escape Day Spa located in Spaces at the Hwy 70/Hwy 100 split in Belle Meade.

I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to visit many day spas as I’ve traveled around the world and as nice as they were, what we have here in Nashville at Escape Day Spa is hands down the best day spa I’ve ever visited.

Escape Day Spa is a bi-level complex. It’s modern and chic with stylish decor. Upstairs you have the reception area and hair salon. Downstairs is where you’ll be taken to experience pure luxury, relaxation, and comfort. Grab yourself a cup of herbal tea, cucumber, lemon, or orange water, a cookie, and enjoy the huge relaxation room lit with candles.

The main relaxation room features a large screen that stretches across the wall with images and music that will help you reach a relaxed state as you lay down in a comfortable chair sipping your herbal tea until your spa consultant/assistant comes to get you for your appointment. This is my favorite place to go after I’ve enjoyed the sauna and to wait for my appointment.  I usually visit it again following my appointment if I’m not in a rush.

Typically when I go to Escape Day Spa, I go for a custom facial. It’s an hour-long treatment and Lily Timoshenko is by far the best I have ever had the opportunity to get a facial from. She’s definitely worth waiting for and books up quite frequently. She knows exactly what’s best for your skin. Trust me, I’ve gone in there a couple of times with my face reacting very badly to something that I used. I’ve got highly-sensitive skin so any little thing seems to cause a reaction. Lily always knows just what to do to calm my skin down.

Escape Day Spa opened in 2005 and is owned by Jeff Hall & Tami Sprintz-Hall who originally moved to Nashville as photographers in the music industry.  According to Tami, what sets them apart from other day spas is every decision that is made revolves around the “care and comfort of our guests”.  When they were planning the spa, they wanted to fill in the gap of what they saw was missing in Nashville–a high-level day spa where customers could come in, change into a robe & slippers, experience any number of spa treatments, and be swept away into this oasis of luxury & pure relaxation.

Be sure to visit their site here for a list of treatments and set-up your appointment.  You won’t regret it! As stressful as life can be at times, it’s nice to be able to escape from it for a bit and get pampered!
