It was a little slice of Texas, as Aaron Watson and friends entertained the crowd at the Ryman Auditorium called A NIGHT OF TEXAS AT THE RYMAN to a near capacity audience.
It was a benefit concert to help raise funds to be donated to the Red Cross to help victims of the recent hurricane that hit Watson’s home state of Texas very hard. Â They are still trying to recover, which will probably take several months, possibly years, as Nashville residents are well aware of following the major flood that devastated our city a few years back. Â Not easy to recover from something like this. Â Many residents and businesses heartbreakingly lost everything.
Aaron Watson was joined this special night on the Ryman stage by other fellow native Texans: Mickey Guyton, Jon Wolfe, Jim Collins, and Leslie Satcher. Â They played all night with Watson closing out the evening with his full band playing a marathon set to an appreciative crowd that seemed to be filled with a lot of native Texan transplants living in Nashville now, as their Texas pride was acknowledged several times loudly at any mention of Texas.
It was a great night of Texas country music all for a good cause.
