On Wednesday, September 30th, Chris Young headlined Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater joined by labelmates Jerrod Niemann and Cam to a packed crowd of 5,000.

It was a chilly, drizzly night, but the crowd didn’t seem to mind and was ready to enjoy a night full of great music.  The concert marked the kick-off of the I’M COMIN’ OVER tour for Young and the final concert of the season at the brand-new Ascend Amphitheater on the riverfront in downtown Nashville.

To start off the show was the adorable Cam dressed in her trademark color with yellow shoes, yellow headband and yellow tambourine.  Her traditional, melodic vocals accented by her bubbly personality was a great start for the evening.  It’s hard NOT to like Cam.  Her personality shines brightly from the stage and her songs draw you in like her career-igniting “Burning House”.

Next up was the fun and talented Jerrod Niemann.  Niemann always brings along the party and the crowd loved him as they sung along to his hits and more than happy to toast their drinks right with him from the stage.  Cheers! He was joined on stage by special guests Diamond Rio for one song.

Finally, the long-awaited headliner took the stage for his hometown show.  The uber-talented, handsome Chris Young was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd ready to hear his trademark smooth, baritone vocals.  He played for over 2 hours and was even joined on stage by special guest Brad Paisley for a cover of Eric Clapton’s “Change The World”.

“I was both excited and anxious to come home and play a show in Nashville. I knew I was going to have a lot of friends and family in the audience so I didn’t want to screw up” joked Young. “The audience at Ascend Amphitheater blew me away and I could have kept playing all night long.”

The crowd absolutely erupted when Young performed his fastest rising career single to date: “I’m Comin’ Over”, also the title of his forthcoming album due out November 13th.

Be sure to catch the tour in a city near you! Worth every penny!
