FIRST LISTEN: Dierks Bentley’s New Single “Woman, Amen”

Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley found himself instantly intrigued with the idea of “Woman, Amen” when it was thrown out during a Fall co-write with songwriters Josh Kear and Ross Copperman. The result is a deeply sincere and personal message of love and gratitude made universal and then freed to soar with signature acoustic instrumentation and a full-throated anthemic chorus. Available now at Country Radio and with all digital partners, Bentley will perform the lead track from his next studio album THE MOUNTAIN tomorrow on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (1/18, check local listings).

“My wife and our relationship has been the one constant element in my life over all the ups and downs of my career and personal life,” shared Bentley. “Our journey together has made me the man I am today. I doubt my heart would even recognize the old me. This song addresses that in the most direct possible way. The personal gratitude expressed in the lyrics, mixed with a track that leans heavily on some bigger sounds, is the perfect way to introduce the album.”

Since moving to Nashville, Bentley has brought a distinguishable grit and songwriting prowess to his recordings, and he’s consistently recreated his sound with a fearlessness that has won him both critical acclaim and commercial viability. Billboard gives breadth to his latest evolution with a video glimpse into the epic landscapes of Colorado and the studio atop a Telluride mesa where the song was recorded. Last week, NPR previewed new music from THE MOUNTAIN (Capitol Records Nashville), which will be released in early 2018. “He pursues themes of questing and self-actualization across a wide-open terrain of arid deserts and rugged ridgelines, cactus flowers and tumbleweeds” (NPR) as the writing process came together quickly when Bentley returned to Telluride a short time later for a retreat with fellow Nashville songwriters. Guitars, banjos, mandolins and fiddles are given room to shine, and integrated into modern drum and bass sounds that will fuel the arenas and amphitheaters on the road. He has become a fixture in country music amassing 17 No. One singles, dozens of nominations including those from the ACM, CMA, GRAMMY and Billboard Music Awards while serving as a Grand Ole Opry member for over a decade. Sister Hazel Announces New EP “Water” Releasing Feb. 9th

Platinum-selling band, Sister Hazel, will kick off the New Year with a new EP, “Water,” set for release February 9, 2018. The six-track EP is Volume I of a collectible compilation series titled, “Elements,” and includes a bonus seventh track that will continue throughout the series. “Water” was produced by Sister Hazel and includes writer contributions from Billy Montana, Michael Logen, Neil Carpenter, and more. Fans can pre-order the EP through PledgeMusic HERE and get the instant grat track “Roll on Bye.” In addition to the digital download and CD, this release offers exclusive limited-edition bundles including an Instagram takeover from the band and the opportunity to donate to Lyrics for Life.

The water element is symbolically often viewed as the source of life and reflection. In the powerful track “You Won’t See Me Again,” co-written by Andrew Copeland, singer and guitarist for the band, he addresses heartbreaking emotions and distress about his own brother-in-law’s fight with alcohol addiction. The emotional delivery of the lyrics by lead vocalist Ken Block came easily and honestly as he is in his 15th year of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. The loss of his own younger brother-in-law law earlier this year, after a lifelong struggle with this horrible disease, added to the sense of desperation, urgency, and finally hope that this powerful track holds.

“Creatively, we are firing on all cylinders right now. I’m 100% sure that people will hear that excitement and energy instantly on this new EP,”
expressed Ken. “We had a blast shaping these songs in the studio and we couldn’t be prouder of the songwriting and the way it all came together! The fact that this is the first in a series of upcoming EP’s that will be released, has us riding a wave of huge momentum and in a really sweet groove musically. We’re pumped about what we’re rolling out on this record. The Hazelnuts asked for it, and we’re responding with more music more frequently. Hold on tight!”

“Water” Track List:

1. “Roll On Bye”
2. “First Time”
3. “You Won’t See Me Again”
4. “Shelter”

Last night, East kicked off his “Encore World Tour 2018” with a sold out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. Widespread critical praise for Encore

“…an often lustrous revisiting of raucous Southern soul, rousingly delivered and pinpoint precise. He has a voice full of extremely careful scrape and crunch, but his howls never feel unhinged.”—The New York Times

“…drawing inspiration from the sophistication of Donny Hathaway’s compositions and arrangements, the grandness of Van Morrison’s Caledonia Soul Orchestra and the dashing song interpretation of Joe Cocker.”—NPR Music

“…highlights an exciting singer-songwriter effortlessly able to blend elements of rock, blues, country and soul. East sounds both deeply classic and yet fresh…East’s voice is a thing of wonder, marbled like a slab of beef that’s been drenched in bourbon.”—Associated Press

“…this remains a sharp, soul-drenched, organically based set that solidifies the R&B roots at the heart of East’s talents…The songs are terrific, East sells them with his gritty, committed vocals and Encore is poised to push the talented singer-songwriter over the top and into the mainstream.”—American Songwriter

“One of Nashville’s most promising new talents.”—Billboard

Encore was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio along with additional production at House of Blues and Farmland Studio. Drew Baldridge Is “The One To Watch” After Huge Vegas Event Debuts New Music From Upcoming Project

Drew Baldridge gave an ecstatic performance for his 3rd annual Drew Year’s Eve event in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel’s music venue, Vinyl, with special guests Neal McCoy, Tim Nichols, Monty Criswell and Mr. Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton. He performed his current single “Guns & Roses,” along with a preview of six new tracks.

The set started with “Goodyears On Gravel,” a song that describes what home feels like for Baldridge stating, ”It’s 100% what I feel when I go back to Illinois.”

After hearing “Lonely” and “Cool Like That,” the audience knew they were seeing something special. The new music continued with “Gentle Man,” “Heartbreak Waiting to Happen,”  followed by “Tomorrow,” a disco-feeling party track that had everyone in the room up and moving.

Radio friends in attendance had rave reviews of the new music.

“Country music always tells a story, but Drew Baldridge brings the personalities of their narratives to life on stage. #DrewBelievers,” said Jason McCollim, SVPP of iHeartRadio/Colorado Springs.

“Drew’s growth as an artist and performer is undeniable,” said Ashley Wilson, newly-minted PD at WNOE/New Orleans. “This guy is a star!”

Jon Shannon from WPOR/Portland said: “Drew stands out from the crowd. This guy is the total package.”

With the current single “Guns & Roses” – a big crowd favorite – rolling up the charts, more and more momentum gathers for Baldridge as he completely wins in person and on stage.

“Guns and Roses is a hit record,” said KRTY/San Jose GM Nate Deaton, “2018 is the year we’ll see him break through.”

“Definitely the one to watch in the coming year,” added KEEY/Minneapolis APD/MD Levi Jessen. “The new music we heard at Drew Year’s Eve surely indicates it’s going to be his best year.”

As Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) teased on social media last week, fans are just days away from a taste of the duo’s brand new music. “Tequila,” their first offering in nearly a year, will be available to radio and all streaming partners this Wednesday, January 10. Hunter Hayes Jump Starts 2018 With “This Girl”

Five-time GRAMMY© nominee Hunter Hayes releases the third installment of his music series this Friday, January 12 with “This Girl.” Co-written by Jordan Schmidt, Andy Albert and Jessie Jo Dillon, the track follows the 2017 release of “More” and “You Should Be Loved (feat. The Shadowboxers)”. With lyrics like: Yeah, I swear that I’d trade everything I chase/ They could take it all away/ long as I get to love this girl, “This Girl” highlights Hayes’ guitar-playing and his rich, up-tempo vocals.

“‘This Girl’ was such a fun song to write. Musically, going back to the roots of stuff I grew up listening to, and lyrically highlighting that side of someone that you only get to see when you’ve known each other for a while and how special those moments can be,” says Hayes. “I’m also extremely excited for everyone to see how ‘Pictures’ finishes with this music video!”

The release of “This Girl” follows two installments of his three-part mini-movie “Pictures.” Forbes launched the mini-movie in November also revealing that the culmination of “Pictures” will be a one-time, only mini-motion picture event in Nashville complete with the director, screenwriter, cast and a live performance from Hayes himself.

Praised by Entertainment Weekly as “an undeniable songwriting talent,” Hayes “has proved himself seemingly effortlessly as a true musical phenomenon” (Yahoo Music) and continues to deliver innovative avenues to share his music with fans across the country. Follow along as he reveals audio for the third installment in the mini-movie this Friday.

ABOUT HUNTER HAYES
Hailed as a “force to be reckoned with” by the Huffington Post, multiple-award-winner Hunter Hayes is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who roared onto the music scene with his 2x multi-Platinum, No. 1 self-titled debut album and chart-topping sophomore album, Storyline, on Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville. With three No. 1 singles under his belt (the multi-Platinum smash “Wanted,” double-Platinum “I Want Crazy” and Platinum-selling “Somebody’s Heartbreak”), Hayes continues to surprise fans with new releases such as “Yesterday’s Song” and his latest, “Rescue,” which inspired his NSA school renovation. In addition to his GRAMMY nominations, the multi-instrumentalist has tallied over 40 award nominations and wins including the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Male Country Artist in 2015 and the CMA Awards’ coveted New Artist of The Year trophy in 2012.

LANCO Releases “Born To Love You” To Radio Today – Debut Album HALLELUJAH NIGHTS Out Jan. 19

Building on the momentum started with the multi-week PLATINUM No. One, “Greatest Love Story,” Sony Music Nashville’s buzz band LANCO releases their new single “Born To Love You” to Country radio today. Produced by Jay Joyce and written by lead singer Brandon Lancaster, Ross Copperman, Ashley Gorley and Josh Osborne, the unconventional track is the next taste of new music off their debut release, HALLELUJAH NIGHTS available January 19th. “Born To Love You” continues the through line found across the record, as the “infectious love song” (American Songwriter) opens the sequence and immediately “puts the focus on anthems, the band’s specialty” (Rolling Stone). HALLELUJAH NIGHTS is now available for pre-order and digital pre-save on LANCOMusic.com and at all retailers . With the digital pre-order, fans receive instant downloads of five songs from the upcoming album including “Born to Love You.”

“‘Born To Love You’ tells another piece of LANCO’s story…who we all are, the small towns we came from and the search for what the world has to offer,” said lead singer Brandon Lancaster. “This song brings together those early experiences with finding that person who makes it all matter…the person that you were born to love. We spent a couple of weeks writing this one, and in the studio, we got to explore a lot of different sounds on it.”

“Born To Love You” “provides a bridge from the laid-back vibe of that first hit to the more energetic moments in LANCO’s musical repertoire and live show,” (Rare). As the five-man band kick off their first run of 2018 this Thursday (1/11) in Indianapolis, IN, on Chris Young’s LOSING SLEEP WORLD TOUR, they will bring that same “live show energy that is going to build their fan base in a hurry,” (Tucson Weekly). As a co-writer of all eleven songs on HALLELUJAH NIGHTS, Lancaster’s Nashville hometown roots and authentic style has resonated with fans through the warm introductory of “Greatest Love Story,” as the “gifted storyteller” (Taste of Country) solely penned the two-week PLATINUM No. One. The recent accolade marked LANCO as the only Country Band in history to earn a PLATINUM single prior to a debut album release.

Rooted in the southern storytelling of Country music with the modern punch of rock & roll, HALLELUJAH NIGHTS (Arista Nashville) is LANCO’s coming-of-age debut album. Equal parts nostalgic and forward-thinking, the record breathes new life into universal themes. LANCO’s story begins in the small towns where all five bandmates — Lancaster, bassist Chandler Baldwin, multi-instrumentalist Jared Hampton, drummer Tripp Howell and lead guitarist Eric Steedly — were raised. Spread across Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia, they lived normal lives full of late nights, long weekends, hard lessons and young love. After they crossed paths in Nashville during their early 20s, LANCO bonded over that shared southern adolescence, while hoping to build a new life in a bigger city. “Few bands have have generated as much buzz as LANCO” (Pop Culture) as their self-titled debut EP, has gained more than 100 million streams. Named “the band to watch” by Bobby Bones, CMT, Entertainment Weekly, Hits Magazine, Pandora, Rolling Stone, Pandora, Spotify, SIRUIS XM,  and more, LANCO gained their status from touring the country’s top festivals with their “twangy rock, blistering guitars and chugging rhythms” (Nashville Scene) at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Watershed, Faster Horses and more. For more information on LANCO and upcoming tour dates, visit www.LANCOMusic.com.

Ray Stevens Announces Grand Opening Of New Music Venue, CabaRay

First Round of Concerts Featuring Performances by Stevens Set for January 18, 19 and 20

Tickets On-sale Now at raystevenscabaray.com or by calling 615-327-4630

After nearly two years of excavation, construction, furnishing and outfitting, country and comedy music legend Ray Stevens is finally ready to unveil his new state-of-the-art Nashville showroom, CabaRay. Today, Stevens announced his grand opening celebration set to take place January 18, 19 and 20.

“This whole process has been a real labor of love for me,” says Stevens. “It took some time to get the building fully constructed and iron out all the kinks but I’m thrilled to say we’re finally ready to open the doors to the public. We’d hoped to open last year… but better late than never!”

CabaRay is an homage to the producers, musicians, songwriters and artists who “made Nashville Music City,” according to Stevens. The venue’s interior is wallpapered with recording studio photos of sessions where hits like “Pretty Woman,” “El Paso,” “Ahab the Arab,” and many others were born. The showroom features six red leather banquette booths named for esteemed Nashville record producers Chet Atkins, Owen Bradley, Shelby Singleton, Fred Foster, Jerry Kennedy and Billy Sherrill.

“This is a uniquely Nashville facility that celebrates the city and the industry I love and that has been so very good to me,” notes Stevens.

CabaRay features dinner service for 500 patrons downstairs with beverage service for over 200 more upstairs in theatre-style seating. The Bill Lowery High Spirits Emporium is a true piano bar, featuring Nashville favorite John Jonethis on keys. The venue also includes a lobby gift shop, chock full of souvenirs.

Stevens’ current plan is to host his own weekly dinner shows— Thursday through Saturday evenings. As the year progresses, he plans to add Wednesday night shows, as well as bring in outside talent to perform in the venue.

In addition to serving dinner, drinks and entertainment, the facility will also act as the production studio for Stevens’ popular “CabaRay Nashville” TV show, airing nationally on Public Television. The building will eventually house the office operations of Ray Stevens Music publishing companies, recording studio and real estate interests, all within the 35,000 square foot building.

CabaRay is located in West Nashville at 5724 River Road. Free parking is available for nearly 300 vehicles, as well as several tour buses.

Tickets for the first string of concerts, featuring live performances by Stevens, are on-sale now and can be purchased online at raystevenscabaray.com or by calling 615-327-4630.

Stevens has also planned a January 10 private red carpet VIP opening celebration for his friends, family, the media, and music industry colleagues. Media interested in covering the event should email caroline@absolutepublicity.com.
