The 2019 NFL Draft is expected to draw approximately 20,000 to 25,000 out-of-town visitors, which will generate a significant number of hotel bookings. It is anticipated that the three-day event will be broadcast on four networks, which will generate substantial national marketing for the city.

Mayor David Briley: “The NFL Draft will be another wonderful opportunity to bring the sports world to Nashville and show off everything our city has to offer. I appreciate all the hard work the Convention & Visitors Corp, the Titans and others have put into our winning bid. Amy Adams Strunk, Tennessee Titans Controlling Owner: “We are thrilled for the city of Nashville, our fans and our team that we have been selected to host the 2019 NFL Draft. The city and the Titans put a lot of effort into this proposal, and we can’t wait to see it come to life next year. I personally would like to thank Commissioner Goodell and the NFL for this opportunity; Metro Nashville Government, led by Mayor David Briley; Butch Spyridon at the CVC; Scott Ramsey at the Sports Council and all those who have contributed to this effort. Nashville is known as an entertainment destination, and we look forward to showing the football world what that looks like on a very big stage.”

The “Gretsch Presents the Fifth Annual Georgia On My Mind” benefit concert is a celebration of the Peach State’s musical mavericks and influence on today’s chart-topping hits hosted by the Peach Pickers: Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, and Ben Hayslip.

The Peach Pickers hand-pick a star-studded group of friends to celebrate the music of their home state with proceeds benefiting the Georgia Music Foundation. Performers this year include Lauren Alaina, Travis Denning, Chris Janson, Michael Ray, songwriters Pat Alger and Tony Arata many more.

The event returns to the historic Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, June 26. Tickets are available now for $54.50 and $44.50 via Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, ryman.com,or by calling (800) 745-3000.

“For Ben, Rhett and I, it’s almost like organizing a bonfire party in South Georgia every year. We call our friends, they call their friends and we all get together, play the songs we love and tell stories,” said Davidson, who chairs the Georgia Music Foundation. “The fact that the last four concerts have allowed us to donate nearly $300,000 to the Georgia Music Foundation and support music education programs all over our home state is icing on the cake.”

Tickets often sell out prior to the concert and surprise guests join the fun each year. Over the past four years, friends joining the Peach Pickers on stage have included Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Big Boi of Outkast, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Kip Moore, T. Graham Brown, Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls, Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, Craig Campbell, Tyler Farr, Otis Redding III, Dexter Redding, Billy Currington, Drivin’ N Cryin’, Brent Cobb, Trea Landon, Jon Langston, Cole Taylor, and many more.

Past recipients include Jason Aldean; Deanna Brown-Thomas, daughter of James Brown; Karla Redding-Andrews, Dexter Redding and Otis Redding III, children of Otis Redding; and Georgia Governor Nathan Deal.

This year, the Peach Pickers welcome Gretsch, the fourth-generation musical instruments company headquartered in Pooler, GA, as a presenting sponsor. Fred Gretsch, President of The Gretsch Company, said, “As we celebrate our 135th anniversary as a family business run by Dinah Gretsch and me, we are honored to support the Peach Pickers and present ‘Georgia On My Mind.’ The Gretsch family’s goal is enriching lives through participation in music and we’ve seen how proceeds from previous years’ concerts have impacted music education programs around the state of Georgia.”

The Georgia Music Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1994, has distributed nearly $300,000 in grants to deserving music education, preservation and outreach programs since the first “Georgia On My Mind” concert was held in 2014. Watch Now: Jimmie Allen’s Debut Music Video For “Best Shot”

Jimmie Allen’s music video for his first single “Best Shot” made its world premiere over the weekend on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown. The personal song was inspired by advice from Jimmie’s grandmother and is currently approaching Top 40 on the Mediabase Country Chart after debuting as the 2nd Most Added song at Country radio. You can now watch the video here: https://jimmieallen.lnk.to/bestshotPR/youtube
Drawing inspiration from the honest and self-reflective nature of the song, the video, directed by Ford Fairchild, brings “Best Shot” to life with a look back through Jimmie’s journey to becoming the man he is today. With family photos and home movies from his childhood, the video showcases Jimmie’s more introspective side however it’s evident in the behind-the-scenes video for “Best Shot,” (which debuted exclusively on One Country here) that the gregarious singer’s personable demeanor, which fans have come to know from his docu-series “Jimmie Allen All In,” is unshakable.
“To me ‘Best Shot’ is about accepting that we all have flaws, we all make mistakes and we’ll all experience a few bumps in the road but all of those hardships lead us to where we are today so at the end of the day, what really counts is that you’re trying your best and giving life your all,” said Allen. “My family has always been such a large part of my journey so it was incredibly special for me to incorporate them into my first-ever music video. It’s a really cool full circle moment to be able to share with them.”
This music video comes on the heels of a remarkable Grand Ole Opry debut, which earned him a standing ovation, as well as the release of a brand new song. “21” is the first track in a new collection of songs the singer calls the “Slower Lower Sessions.” Jimmie will share a new song from the series, which are all inspired by memories growing up in the “Slower Lower” region of Delaware, each month leading up to the launch of his full-length album, due later this year.
“Best Shot” was first introduced to the world through Jimmie’s self-titled EP, which was released in October and subsequently earned him recognition on nearly every “One to Watch” list for 2018. To listen to “Best Shot,” click here.

Chase Rice Delivers Special Show Just 3 Days After Surgery

Chase Rice has faced his fair share of injuries over the years. While playing football at UNC, he took a hit directly to his left ankle, resulting in a win for the team but surgery and a missed season for the athlete. In the midst of rehabbing, he took another hit with the passing of his father. That time off between his injury and his loss led a disheartened Rice to channel his frustrations into music, leading to his discovery and love of songwriting … and eventually the start of his career in music.
Fast forward 10 years and millions of fans later, and Rice found himself nearly benched again.
Rice tore his pectoral muscle while filming the music video for “Eyes On You,” a song from his latest, Lambs & Lions, that hit the U.S. Viral 50 Chart immediately after its release. Despite undergoing surgery just three days prior, as he shared on social media, Rice brought the energy that’s built him a faithful fan following around the world to a passionate crowd at the sold out House of Blues last night, giving his fans the night of their lives in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Stepping on stage with his right arm in a sling and the mic in the other, the Carolinian snarled, “There was no question in my mind about whether or not we’d be here tonight. After hearing this crowd sing ‘Eyes On You’ back to us as loud as you have, I’m even more excited for everyone to see this music video soon,” Rice marveled. “You andthis right here — this energy — this is why we do what we do and why nothing was going to stop me from getting on this stage tonight.”
The show Friday marked 10 years to the day that his father passed away, making his performance all the more significant. Rice’s brother Casey joined him for the night, bringing Chase a small Martin guitar, the only size permitted for Rice to play while rehabilitating and the only one of its kind within 100 miles of Friday’s show. Just above its neck Rice inscribed “5-18-18” to commemorate the anniversary and special night.
Rice is committed to rehabbing on the road and is adamant no shows will be cancelled as he continues to play for fans across this country this summer on the Lambs & Lion Tour and at various festival dates.
