Cracker Barrel Powers Jam-Packed First Night At Country Roads Stage At 2018 CMA Music Festival With Broken Bow Records

Night one at CMA Fest’s free Cracker Barrel Country Roads Stage at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater featured an exciting evening of performances by some of Broken Bow Records’ brightest stars, including Chase Bryant, Craig Campbell, Lindsey Ell, Everette, Chase Rice, Runaway June, and Granger Smith.

On stage, Cracker Barrel and Chase Bryant organized a special, patriotic moment for 10 expectant mothers-to-be from Fort Campbell who were all active duty servicewomen and military spouses. They each received one of Cracker Barrel’s iconic rockers, free Cracker Barrel twice a month for a year, and gift cards to shop at the famous restaurant’s country store. Fans gave the women a standing ovation, and the moment was capped off with a heartwarming video showing 100 other military moms-to-be receiving rockers, too.
With the kickoff of CMA Fest yesterday, Cracker Barrel is encouraging festivalgoers to share photographs of themselves for a good cause. With Cracker Barrel’s Rock With Us fundraiser, every photograph taken in a Cracker Barrel rocker at the festival and shared on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #CBMusic between June 7 and June 9 will result in a $1 donation from Cracker Barrel to the CMA Foundation (up to $15,000).
Red Light Management artists Lee Brice, Clare Dunn, and Tyler Farr will hit the stage tonight, while Warner Music Nashville will bring out Morgan Evans, Michael Ray, Cole Swindell, and more on Saturday evening.

Courtesy of Ole Red

On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, Grand Ole Opry member Blake Shelton is set to officially open his new bar, restaurant and music venue, Ole Red Nashville, in partnership with Ryman Hospitality Properties. To celebrate, Shelton will co-host the fourth hour of TODAY with anchor Hoda Kotb live from Ole Red Nashville’s stage. The broadcast will air at 10 a.m. CST on NBC. That evening, Shelton will perform from Ole Red’s rooftop bar, The Lookout, on the CMT Music Awards. The annual award ceremony will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 7 p.m. CST on CMT.

As previously announced, Shelton will christen the stage of Ole Red Nashville, the second Ole Red location, after the award ceremony with a special, exclusive “Blake Shelton and Friends” celebratory concert. Fans had the opportunity to win one of the hottest tickets in town through contest entry and fans at home can livestream the first songs from the event on Ole Red Nashville’s Facebook page.

Those in town for CMA Fest who do not win tickets to “Blake Shelton and Friends” and want to paint the town red with Shelton can purchase tickets to his special performance at the Grand Ole Opry here. Shelton will play two shows on the Opry on Thursday, June 7 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

About Ole Red
Ole Red is a lifestyle and entertainment brand inspired by Blake Shelton’s clever, irreverent third-chart hit, “Ol’ Red.” You can find Ole Red entertainment venues and products in two locations in the United States by 2018, the flagship multi-story bar, restaurant and entertainment venue in the heart of downtown Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway, and the very first location in Blake’s hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Ole Red is owned and operated by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. as part of its Opry Entertainment division. For additional information about Ole Red, visit us online at olered.com.

About Blake Shelton
Country Music Association’s 2012 “Entertainer of the Year,” five-time Male Vocalist of the Year winner and GRAMMY nominee Blake Shelton continues to add to his superstar status. In November he released his album Texoma Shore, which became his sixth record to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and marked his 11th all-genre Top 10. Texoma Shore features his Top 10 and climbing single “I Lived It” as well as the smash hit “I’ll Name The Dogs,” a romantic tune that boasts over 68 million streams and recently became his 25th No. 1 song. In the week following album launch, Shelton became the first artist in Country Aircheck / Mediabase history to have six songs chart simultaneously. Texoma Shore follows 2016’s Gold-certified If I’m Honest, the best-selling country album release of the year, which spawned three chart-topping songs and earned him a No. 1 on both the Billboard Top Country Albums and the all-genre Top Album Sales charts.

A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Shelton has earned a host of honors throughout his career including 20 ACM nominations and the Top Country Artist title at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Shelton proved worthy of the distinction on this winter’s Country Music Freaks headlining tour alongside Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce and special guest Trace Adkins. As a coach for the Emmy Award-winning television show “The Voice, Shelton is a six-time champion, most recently with his contestant Chloe Kohanski. Offstage, Shelton has teamed up with Ryman Hospitality to open a string of Ole Red entertainment restaurant venues, a nod to his 2001 hit of the same name. The flagship location in his Oklahoma hometown Tishomingo opened its doors in September 2017, with Nashville’s venue on lower Broadway celebrating its grand opening this week.

“2018 CMT Music Awards” Featuring This Summer’s Newest Music With Multiple World Premiere Television Performances

CMT today revealed that some of music’s biggest stars will perform brand-new songs for the first time ever on television when the “2018 CMT Music Awards” premieres LIVE from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena tomorrow, June 6 at 8pm ET/PT. The performances will not only feature the newest songs that will become the soundtrack to the summer, but they will use the CMT stage to introduce their new music to the world.

“CMT music fans have an unquenchable thirst for music discovery. This show features the freshest and most exciting summer songs ever presented on one stage,” said Margaret Comeaux, executive producer, CMT Music Awards.

The line-up of world television premiere performances includes:

  • Darius Rucker featuring Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Charles Kelley – “Straight to Hell”
  • Dierks Bentley featuring Brothers Osborne – “Burning Man”
  • Florida Georgia Line – “Simple”
  • Kelly Clarkson – “American Woman”
  • Little Big Town – “Summer Fever”
  • Sam Hunt – “Downtown’s Dead”
  • Backstreet Boys – “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”

The performers join previously announced performers Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Jason Aldean and Kelsea Ballerini to round out the ultimate night of country music in Nashville.

The latest announcement follows renewed ratings growth and critical acclaim for CMT music specials and events due in part to a creative refresh featuring current and genre-bending artist pairings and pro-social elements. In October, “CMT Artists of the Year” notched its highest rating to date and now ranks as one of the fastest growing award shows, while “CMT Crossroads” recently garnered its highest ratings in five years with an episode featuring Backstreet Boys and Florida Georgia Line. The network recently finished its highest-rated quarter since 2014 and notched its fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year ratings growth. April 2018 was CMT’s best April performance in 4 years, extending to 17 the channel’s streak of consecutive months of year-over-year ratings growth among Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49. The A-list roster includes Backstreet Boys, Bobby Bones, Brett Young, Carly Pearce, Chrissy Metz (“This Is Us”), Cody Alan (Radio and TV Personality), Courtney Force (NHRA racing), Dustin Lynch, Garrett Hedlund (“Mudbound,” “Country Strong”), Hoda Kotb (“NBC’s TODAY”), Joel McHale (“The Joel McHale Show”), Johnny Knoxville (“Action Point”), Kaitlin Doubleday (“Nashville”), Katie Cook (TV personality), Lauren Alaina, Leon Bridges, Lennon Stella (“Nashville”), Lindsey Vonn (US Ski Team), Luke Combs, Maisy Stella (“Nashville”), P.K. Subban (Nashville Predators), RaeLynn, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland. The “2018 CMT Music Awards” will premiere LIVE from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 6th at 8:00 pm ET/ PT.

Country music’s loudest night will be hosted by three-time nominees Little Big Town, who willalso join the list of knockout performers including Blake Shelton; Carrie Underwood; Chris Stapleton; Dan + Shay; Darius Rucker featuring Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Charles Kelley; Dierks Bentley featuring Brothers Osborne; Florida Georgia Line; Jason Aldean; Kelly Clarkson; Kelsea Ballerini; Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt. Breakthrough artists Carly Pearce, Devin Dawson, LANCO, Lindsay Ell, Russell Dickerson and Walker Hayes will perform on the Ram Trucks Side Stage.

The “2018 CMT Music Awards” nominations announcement made history, as pop sensations Bebe Rexha, with her record-breaking, chart-topping collaboration “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line, and Justin Timberlake, with “Say Something” featuring Chris Stapleton, received first time nods for the highly coveted “Video of the Year.” The additional lineup of country stars vying for the title include Blake Shelton, Brett Young, Brothers Osborne, Carrie Underwood featuring Ludacris, Dan + Shay, Jason Aldean, Kane Brown featuring Lauren Alaina, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett. Up for four nominations each, Carrie Underwood (who also currently holds the title of most “CMT Music Awards” wins), Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean are tied for most nods.

Fans have until the end of the day today, June 4th, to vote for their favorite artists via CMT.com for categories including “Video of the Year,” “Male Video of the Year,” “Female Video of the Year,”, “Duo Video of the Year,” “Group Video of the Year,” “Breakthrough Video of the Year,” “Collaborative Video of the Year” and “CMT Performance of the Year.”

The presenters announcement follows renewed ratings growth and critical acclaim for CMT music specials and events due in part to a creative refresh featuring current and genre-bending artist pairings and pro-social elements.
