For KING & COUNTRY Adds A Second Show At Ryman Auditorium

Two-time GRAMMY® award-winning duo for KING & COUNTRY just released their new song “Amen,” and a breathtaking music video to go with it, which was added to Spotify’s “New Music Friday” Playlist today. This marks the fourth instant grat track from their highly anticipated album Burn the Ships, out October 5th. You can watch the video HERE.

“A year and a half ago, Luke came into the studio and shared a personal story,” reflects Joel Smallbone, one half of for KING & COUNTRY. “That personal story ended up becoming this song. He had heard the minister speak about the meaning of baptism and Luke felt compelled to make that statement once again as an adult. There was a tangible moment as he rose out of the water where time stood still, and a new day had begun. This story of death to life became our song, ‘Amen.’ We chose to film this music video in the Salt Flats of Utah, which is the flattest place on the earth. The location resonated with the dark and desolate life without great hope.”

The groundbreaking new video seamlessly takes for KING & COUNTRY on an epic journey where they brave the elements and find salvation through persistence and belief.  The message of the song is portrayed expertly in the video, showing that while every voyage may have its moments of desperation, it’s faith and determination that can turn the darkness into light. From braving a desert rainstorm, to experiencing beautiful underwater landscapes, this music video is an absolute visual treat.

The band has also announced the Burn the Ships | Album Release Tour, presented by AEG, in support of their upcoming record. Due to a SOLD-OUT show at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN, on October 14th, for KING & COUNTRY added a matinee show.  To purchase tickets, CLICK HERE. Fans will get an even closer look at the duo, as the tour includes some of America’s most intimate venues across the country. The 11-show trek kicks off on October 2nd and will stop in major U.S. cities like New York, Nashville, Dallas, Denver, Seattle, with more shows to be added due to high demand.

“joy,” the lead single from for KING & COUNTRY’s forthcoming album, is No. 1 for a second week and has received over 12.9 million streams. “joy.” was included on USA Today/The Tennessean’s “Best Songs of the Year” (so far) all-genre list, proclaiming “’joy.’ is an infectious, upbeat anthem about choosing to be joyful in the face of hardship.” “joy.” reached No. 1 on the Australia TCM Top 30 Chart, Billboard NCA Chart, Mediabase Hot AC Chart, and Canadian Radio Chart. Furthermore, their previous instant grat track “God Only Knows” reached Top 50 on Spotify’s Top 50 Global and Viral 50 USA charts.

Olivia Lane Releases Long Anticipated Single, “You Got Me”, Today

Dynamic entertainer and one of Country music’s most promising young talents, Olivia Lane, is celebrating the release of new single, ”You Got Me.” The Skip Black produced track was written by Olivia along with Aaron Scherz (Maddie & Tae) & Tim Nichols (Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson). Olivia explains, the song wrote itself pretty quick. In the writing room, we talked about how we all have gone through or have had someone in our lives go through darker times and sometimes hearing someone say they’re there for you and have your back can be so powerful.”

HollywoodLIfe offered fans a sneak peak at the single and accompanying music video via a world premiere HERE. The leading celebrity and entertainment site has dubbed Olivia a “one to watch” and goes on to explain: “Olivia Lane is just getting started, but she’s already penning the kind of songs that can’t be ignored… and is ready to take her career to the next level!”

The music video was directed by Matt DeLisi and shot in various locations around Nashville. Olivia goes on to explain: “I wanted the video to represent the sentiment of the song which is letting someone know you are there for them. These are two friends who may or may not be more, but regardless of the status of their relationship, it’s clear they have a solid foundation on having each other’s back.”

The long anticipated new material will be a reflection of her growth as not only an artist but a person. Olivia explains, I wrote this song for anyone who wants to let someone know that they’re there for them. The universal message of this song perfectly describes where I’m at in my songwriting and the kind of artist I want to be. Since my last release of music, I’ve grown up, worked on some self love and ended up discovering this more vulnerable and emotional side of me that I’m ready to share with my fans.”

Since her impactful debut in 2016, the budding talent has been named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Country Artists You Need To Know” along with profile pieces by the likes of Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, People, Yahoo& more.

Chris Janson Is Making A Difference In The World Through His Music And Giving Back

Platinum selling and chart-topping country artist Chris Janson released a very important music video for his newest single “Drunk Girl.” The positive message of the video and track has greatly impacted those who have watched, and it has inspired one high school girl to award Chris for using his celebrity for philanthropic efforts. Seventeen-year-old Jenna Laemmle presented Chris at his show in Louisville, KY, with a “Kindness Award” and induction into the hall of fame of her new, non-profit organization, “The Kindness Champions Foundation.”

“We are inducting Chris Janson into our Hall of Fame as a charter member,” Jenna said in a statement. “He was unanimously selected by our committee especially for his song “Drunk Girl” – in our opinion one of the kindest and strongest-messaged songs written in our generation. After being presented with countless other acts of his charity, time, and philanthropy, Mr. Janson was a unanimous selection.”

The objective for Jenna’s “Kindness Champions” foundation is to spotlight acts of kindness from both celebrities and ordinary people, publicizing acts of generosity and charity whereas they may go otherwise unnoticed. The foundation feels that it is important to single out and accentuate these acts of goodwill so that other may feel inspired to do the same.

Chris also spends his time championing other causes that are close to his heart. Last night, for the sixth year in a row, Chris performed at a charity event at Green’s Grocery in Leiper’s Fork, TN, for the organization “Miles 4 Miles,” a foundation started in the name of Miles Peck, a five- year-old boy born with Down syndrome.  The organization “supports local non-profits who enhance the lives of others with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” according to their website. Chris kicked off the event, and invited Miles on stage to help him perform his No. 1 Platinum-selling hit single, “Buy Me A Boat.” With Chris’ help, “Miles 4 Miles” has raised over $500,000 in the last six years.

Janson’s single, “Drunk Girl,” has exceeded 3 million views on YouTube and was named MUSICROW’s “Song of the Year.” It currently holds the No. 13 spot as it climbs up the country airplay charts. You can watch Chris and his co-writers of the song discuss the making of the music video HERE.

Chris is constantly touring, and you can catch him on these upcoming dates below:

August 25th – Intimidators Stadium – Kannapolis, NC
August 28th – Grand Ole Opry House – Nashville, TN
August 30th – Regions Field – Birmingham, AL
August 31st – Riverwalk Stadium – Montgomery, AL
September 1st – Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam 2018 – Panama City Beach, FL

About Chris Janson:
Janson is a platinum-selling high-octane entertainer, multi-instrumentalist, award-winning singer/songwriter, and the youngest living member of the Grand Ole Opry. His sophomore album, Everybody, produced his second No. 1 hit single, “Fix A Drink,” the chart-topping follow up to his No. 1 debut smash and summer anthem, “Buy Me A Boat.” His current single, “Drunk Girl,” continues to impact fans and radio as the song climbs the country singles, sales, and streaming charts, while being hailed by the Tennessean as “a shoo-in for Song of the Year nominations.” Janson closed out the 53rd ACM Awards with what Rolling Stone called a “must-see performance,” and he floored his audience at Stagecoach. Nashville Symphony Opens 2018/19 Season With Sculpture Unveiling And Bernstein Centennial Celebration

Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero and the Nashville Symphony return from their summer hiatus on Saturday, September 8, to kick off the 2018/19 season with the Bernstein Centennial Opening Night, a one-night-only performance that will honor one of America’s most influential and revered composers. The concert is part of a nationwide, yearlong celebration of the 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth.

As part of the opening festivities, a bronze bust of Guerrero by California artist Alicia Ponzio will be unveiled in the Schermerhorn’s Main Lobby prior to the performance. The pre-concert sculpture unveiling promises to add a unique element to the Nashville Symphony’s opening night, introducing another distinctive feature to the Schermerhorn’s architecture and design. The bust was commissioned by Nashville Symphony patrons Dr. Zeljko and Tanya Radic specifically for the Schermerhorn.

Based in San Francisco, sculptor Alicia Ponzio is represented by Haynes Galleries, located in Franklin, Tennessee. She studied and later taught at Italy’s prestigious Florence Academy of Art. Her work has received recognition and honors from the Art Renewal Center, the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, The Portrait Society of America, The California Art Club and The National Sculpture Society, the last of which awarded Ponzio the Alex J. Ettl Grant in 2016.

Creating the sculpture of Guerrero, the Symphony’s music director since 2009, proved to be a uniquely fulfilling experience for Ponzio.

“Meeting Giancarlo was an important part of my process in creating this bust,” the artist explains. “I try to get a sense of the individual I’m portraying aside from their public persona. He has a dramatic and powerful presence that I observed and heard during his performances; but at the same time he’s warm and engaging in conversation. I wanted the bust to give the viewers a sense of his intensity, his passion for music and incredible talents, while also describing him as an individual of great humanity.”

Guerrero and his wife Shirley will be on hand for the unveiling and will be joined by Ponzio, Zeljko and Tanya Radic, and Haynes Galleries owner Gary R. Haynes. The event will be open to all patrons with tickets to the Bernstein Centennial Opening Night. Full details of the pre-concert unveiling will be announced to the press in early September, and members of the media are invited to attend. More information about Alicia Ponzio is available on her website.

Symphony Celebrates “Most Important Musical Figure of the 20th Century”

Following the sculpture unveiling, Guerrero and the Nashville Symphony will perform some of Leonard Bernstein’s most popular and enduring works.

Bernstein, whom Guerrero considers “the most important musical figure of the 20th century,” continues to make a profound impact on the world of music nearly 30 years after his death. The opening-night program pulls together selections from his wide musical spectrum, which was influenced by his passions for the Broadway stage, contemporary political and social issues, his Jewish heritage and the classical music tradition he inherited and later elevated for a rapidly changing American audience.

The evening will open with Three Dance Episodes from On the Town, Bernstein’s first full-scale musical comedy, and the masterful Symphonic Suite from On the Waterfront, the 1954 film starring Marlon Brando. Following intermission, Guerrero will lead the orchestra in Bernstein’s First Symphony, subtitled “Jeremiah” after the Old Testament prophet, before closing with Symphonic Dances, which weaves together nine separate musical episodes from West Side Story. Full program notes for the Bernstein Centennial Opening Night are available here.

Tickets for the Bernstein Centennial Opening Night are still available and can be purchased at NashvilleSymphony.org/Bernstein, via phone at 615.687.6400 or at the Schermerhorn Box Office, One Symphony Place in downtown Nashville.

The GRAMMY® Award-winning Nashville Symphony has earned an international reputation for its innovative programming and its commitment to performing, recording and commissioning works by America’s leading composers. The Nashville Symphony has released 29 recordings on Naxos, which have received 24 GRAMMY® nominations and 13 GRAMMY® Awards, making it one of the most active recording orchestras in the country. The orchestra has also released recordings on Decca, Deutsche Grammophon and New West Records, among other labels. With more than 140 performances annually, the orchestra offers a broad range of classical, pops and jazz, and children’s concerts, while its extensive education and community engagement programs reach 60,000 children and adults each year.
