Nashville came out strong yesterday (10/11) to celebrate Midland’s first career No. 1 for their certified-GOLD debut single “Drinkin’ Problem” at the Sutler Saloon. Midland co-wrote Country Music’s definitive drinking tune of 2017 with hit tunesmiths Shane McAnally (GMR) and Josh Osborne (ASCAP) and recorded alongside esteemed producer, Dann Huff. The feat marked Osborne’s 14th no. 1 and McAnally’s 25th ascend during the celebration hosted by ASCAP and BMI.
Midland follows the chart-topper with their new optimistic tune, “Make A Little” from their critically-acclaimed debut album on Big Machine Records. Touted as “the year’s best Country album” by The Washington Post, ON THE ROCKS earned the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Album Sales chart.
Fans can catch Midland this weekend at Austin City Limits Music Festival and out with Jon Pardi on CMT On Tour this fall. In early 2018, the trio will take the stage with Little Big Town and Kasey Musgraves. For more information about new music and a full list of upcoming tour dates, visit MidlandOfficial.com.
