CMT and Dairy Queen Partner For CMT Sweetest Summer Celebration

Last Sunday, CMT and Dairy Queen partnered together to bring a day of music, family fun, and sweet frozen treats to Nashville’s Cumberland Park in downtown.

It was a beautiful, sunny day, albeit a little chilly, but that did not stop the capacity crowd of 1,500 from enjoying the inaugural CMT Sweetest Summer Celebration presented by Dairy Queen that was a pre-summer fun celebration of music & the official launch of Dairy Queen’s new summer Blizzard menu starting the month of April.

Some of country music’s rising and established stars entertained the crowd from the Cumberland Park stage overlooking the riverfront, including Maddie & Tae, Josh Turner, Walker Hayes, and Lauren Alaina.

While listening to some great, live music, attendees got a chance to taste some of Dairy Queen’s new blizzard flavors for the summer and nibble on some of their chicken fingers & fries while enjoying cornhole, making silkscreen t-shirts, and playing a jumbo Jinga game.

Debuting this month at Dairy Queen is the Oreo Cookie Jar Blizzard featuring Oreo cookie pieces, chocolate chip cookie dough, and fudge mixed into Dairy Queen’s signature vanilla soft serve.

The 2019 Summer Blizzard Menu also includes:

– Brownie Dough Blizzard – Brownie dough, choco chunks, and cocoa fudge blended with vanilla soft serve.

– Summer Berry Cheesecake Blizzard – Raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cheesecake pieces blended with vanilla soft serve.

– Caramel Cannonball Blizzard – Caramel-coated caramel truffles, toffee pieces, and caramel topping mixed with vanilla soft serve.

– S’mores Blizzard – Marshmallow-filled chocolates and graham cracker pieces blended with vanilla soft serve.

– Cotton Candy Blizzard – Cotton candy sprinkles mixed into vanilla soft serve.

Russell Dickerson’s Newest Video Arrives Just In Time To Become Your Favorite Summer Jam

Coming off his very first number one single “Yours” from his debut album, Russell Dickerson has just released his newest single and video for “Blue Tacoma”.

This mid-tempo tune delevered with Dickerson’s signature smooth vocals is the perfect summer anthem.  The video filmed on the coastline fits the mood perfectly and is definitely a winner.  I predict this will be his second hit off his album.

Live Nation To Launch National Concert Week With $20 All-In Ticket Offer For Summer

Seven-time GRAMMY award-winning and current nominees Lady Antebellum and three-time GRAMMY award-winner Darius Rucker announced today that they will head out on the road together for their co-headlining SUMMER PLAYS ON TOUR, kicking off on July 19 in Toronto, ON. The trio and Rucker share a long-time friendship and touring history, setting the tone for a fun-filled stint across the country and Canada, for which special guest Russell Dickerson has been invited to join.  With dozens of No. one hits between them the tour offers a playlist-worthy night for fans which will also include spontaneous collaborations throughout the evening. Sweet Tunes, Summertime Memories Made & Tennessee Whisky At George Dickel And BMI’s 1st Porch Sessions With Maddie & Tae

It couldn’t have been a better start for George Dickel & BMI’s Porch Sessions concert series with clear skies and 70 degree weather in the picturesque setting of George Dickel’s Distillery in Cascade Hollow near Tullahoma, TN.

The appreciative crowd enthusiastically clapped and danced along to the music by the harmonious duo, Maddie & Tae.

If you missed the concert this time, don’t worry, there are more to come.  Stay tuned for announcements of future shows at Cascade Hollow for a refreshing, fun-filled afternoon with George Dickel & BMI for other epic Porch Sessions’ concerts all summer long.

About George Dickel

Born 40 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, George A. Dickel was an established Nashville merchant when he entered the whisky business. Dickel grew his reputation for selling the smoothest, most mellow spirits in the region. Thus, Geo. A. Dickel & Co. was born and when the Cascade Hollow Distillery opened in 1878 in neighboring Coffee County, George Dickel bought a large share.
