Dustin Lynch Invited To Become Newest Member Of The Grand Ole Opry

Realizing a lifelong dream, country star DUSTIN LYNCH has been invited to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Opry member Trace Adkins made the special surprise invitation Tuesday night (8/21) during Lynch’s performance, telling him, “Being a member of the Grand Ole Opry is at the top of my list of achievements in my career and always will be. We want people to be members of the Grand Ole Opry that will have a respect for this institution that it deserves, that it has earned for 92 years.” Adkins added, “We think that Dustin Lynch is going to carry on in that proud tradition, and we’re glad to have you.”

“I can’t even talk cause I’m gonna start crying,” a stunned Lynch told the crowd. “I’ve got my family here tonight and a lot of my team members – a lot of guys and girls that are responsible for getting me on this stage for the very first time, getting my music played at Country radio and all over the world now, and I wanna say we would not be here if it wasn’t for you. Thank you guys so much. A lot of things have happened over the past six years, but it started with that last song we just played. ‘Cowboys and Angels’ was the very first song I got to play on the Grand Ole Opry – March 2, 2012 – I’ll never forget that day. I wanna say Mom and Dad, thank you so much. I’m glad you came tonight. We have so much to celebrate. I’m gonna attempt to sing a song with a frog in my throat and tears in my eyes.”

Equally surprised were Lynch’s parents – who have attended every one of his Opry performances to date – who were on hand to share in the emotional moment, cheering on his career milestone from their seats in front of the stage.

A friend to the Opry over the years, Lynch has stepped into the six-foot circle on the Opry’s center stage numerous times as he’s released three Top 5 albums and five consecutive #1 singles, earning PLATINUM level certifications. He is set to be formally inducted as an Opry member on Sept. 18.

This indelible honor comes as the latest pinnacle moment for Lynch, who has proven himself as one of the genre’s brightest stars. One of the most-played artists of 2017, he topped the charts for four consecutive weeks with his PLATINUM-certified smash “Small Town Boy,” penned by Kyle Fishman, Ben Hayslip, and ACM Songwriter of the Year Award winner Rhett Akins. His new single “Good Girl” – which Lynch surprise-released at this year’s iHeartCountry Festival and performed at CMA Fest – is climbing the charts.

Lynch performed at the ACM Honors ceremony at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium this past week. He’s also set to hit the road with co-headliner Cole Swindell and special guest Lauren Alaina for the REASON TO DRINK…ANOTHER TOUR beginning Oct. 4 in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Olivia Lane Releases Long Anticipated Single, “You Got Me”, Today

Dynamic entertainer and one of Country music’s most promising young talents, Olivia Lane, is celebrating the release of new single, ”You Got Me.” The Skip Black produced track was written by Olivia along with Aaron Scherz (Maddie & Tae) & Tim Nichols (Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson). Olivia explains,“the song wrote itself pretty quick. In the writing room, we talked about how we all have gone through or have had someone in our lives go through darker times and sometimes hearing someone say they’re there for you and have your back can be so powerful.”

HollywoodLIfe offered fans a sneak peak at the single and accompanying music video via a world premiere HERE. The leading celebrity and entertainment site has dubbed Olivia a “one to watch” and goes on to explain: “Olivia Lane is just getting started, but she’s already penning the kind of songs that can’t be ignored… and is ready to take her career to the next level!”

The music video was directed by Matt DeLisi and shot in various locations around Nashville. Olivia goes on to explain: “I wanted the video to represent the sentiment of the song which is letting someone know you are there for them. These are two friends who may or may not be more, but regardless of the status of their relationship, it’s clear they have a solid foundation on having each other’s back.”

The long anticipated new material will be a reflection of her growth as not only an artist but a person. Olivia explains, “I wrote this song for anyone who wants to let someone know that they’re there for them. The universal message of this song perfectly describes where I’m at in my songwriting and the kind of artist I want to be. Since my last release of music, I’ve grown up, worked on some self love and ended up discovering this more vulnerable and emotional side of me that I’m ready to share with my fans.”

Florida Georgia Line Drops New Song “Sittin’ Pretty” Today

Song Review: Ryan Kinder | “Stay”

Guitar slinger, songwriter and talented artist, Ryan Kinder, just released his newest single, “Stay”, to country radio this week.

“Stay” is a poignant, passionate, midtempo, pop and soul-infused tune carried by Kinder’s powerful, soulful vocals and strong guitar skills.  My favorite song of his yet! This artist just keeps getting better with each offering.

Written by Kinder, Fred Wilhelm and Luke Sheets, produced by Kinder and Sheets, this hard-hitting ballad delivers a compelling emotional message. Kinder captures the intensity of the lyric and melody with a virtuosic vocal and high-impact guitar solo, all of which heralds his place in the spotlight as a newly unfettered and independent artist.

“At the root, this song is a prayer, a mantra, a plea to the one you love to walk alongside you through life’s journey of ups and downs,” explains Kinder.  “Since writing it, I have found strength from this song in my career as well. Music has been my companion and saving grace more times than I can count, and “Stay” reminds me of that.”

Available for streaming now, “Stay” will be included on Kinder’s next album slated for early 2019.

Kenton Bryant Releases Debut Self-Titled EP Today

The 2018 Vintage TENN. NO. 12 Belgian Style Quad aged in George Dickel barrels will be available in 22 oz. bottles for purchase at 11 a.m. CST this Saturday, August 25th in the Tennessee Brew Works Taproom. Keith Urban Debuts Official Music Video For Latest Single “Never Comin Down”

Four-time GRAMMY ® Award winner Keith Urban debuts the brand-new music video for his latest single GRAFFITI U’s “Never Comin Down,” which follows his 24th #1 song “Coming Home.”  “Never Comin Down,” (Urban, Josh Kerr, James Abrahart, Shy Carter) says Urban, “captures the energy and spirit of being at a show – lost in the music, along with everyone else that’s there, whether you know them or not.  That’s the feeling that I wanted to capture in the video.”

The result produced a wildly creative narrative that intentionally accentuates inclusivity through dance.  Urban’s collaborator, director Carter Smith says, “In casting, we took the people that were happiest to be themselves – whatever that was.  We brought in voguers, break dancers, hip-hop dancers – line dancers – everybody’s dancing together for this one song, on this one night.”

 

The video opens with a nervous young man approaching a bar. As he makes his way inside, he’s slowly consumed by the feeling in the room, everyone dancing, expressing themselves in their own way, lost in the music.  By the end of the video, he’s not only out on the dance floor, but showing them all how to line dance.

 

Urban is currently in the midst of his 62-city “GRAFFITI U WORLD TOUR 2018” – with his guitar – and is scheduled to perform in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena this Friday.
