JT Hodges Releases New Single “Already High”

JT HodgesCountry star JT Hodges releases his
highly-anticipated single “Already High” to iTunes and country radio!

Written by Hodges and Kevin Griffin, (lead singer of Better Than Ezra and
has written hits for Taylor Swift, Sugarland), “Already High” is sure to be
the soundtrack of summer 2014! With an infectious lead in, fans will be
hooked from the first beat of the song. Hodges then brings in the lyrics
that include a list of any man’s poison of choice, including a beautiful
woman. JT doesn’t need anything but his love, singing, “when I need a hit
girl, when I need a fix, your blue jean curves always do the trick”.

Regarding the lyrical composition, Hodges shares, “Kevin and I were talking
about what beers and/or liquors we preferred the day we were writing this
one. You know, the deep stuff guys talk about. We also went on to
admit that too much of the stuff sometimes had our ladies making us sleep
on the couch… Kevin then began to lay down this killer groove and we
basically wrote an apology to them, professing there’s no better high than
the love they give us.”

Country Singer-Songwriter Pete Kennedy Releases New Single, “I Am The One”

Pete KennedyWinner of the British Country Music Awards 2013 Album of the Year, country singer-songwriter Pete Kennedy is releasing his latest single, “I Am The One,” today.

“I Am The One” is the first single off of new record of the same name. The single is already gaining notoriety, earning itself a top spot on the New & Noteworthy section of the iTunes Country page alongside other country greats such as Hunter Hayes, Rascal Flatts and the case of the hit TV show “Nashville.”

The song holds special meaning for Kennedy, as he wrote it while making the move to Nashville from his native home, Ireland. In the song, he doubts whether he can make it in the Nashville music scene, but he pushes the doubt aside, knowing that no matter what, he’ll make it through in the end.

Kennedy has made good use of this inner confidence as he’s made the big switch to Nashville. Already a huge success in Ireland and Britain, Nashville is an entirely new challenge for the talented performer, one he’s meeting with characteristic charm and vigor.

Kennedy is taking Nashville’s challenges in stride, already becoming a favorite among music lovers. He’s garnering countless friends and fans wherever he goes, proving his trust in himself, as declared in “I Am The One,” is well-merited.

A favorite in the United Kingdom, Kennedy has received numerous awards and nominations at the British Country Music Awards, including back-to-back Album of the Year awards for his albums “The Nashville Sessions: Volume 1” and “The Nashville Sessions: Volume 2,” as well as nominations for Song of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and European Act of the Year.

But his accolades aren’t just limited to the United Kingdom. Kennedy is also receiving high praise in Music City, USA. He made his break into the states with being selected for the high honor of performing at the County Music Radio CMR Nashville International Showcase in 2011, and since then he’s gone on to be named an official featured artist during the 2013 CMA Festival.

Now that Kennedy is officially located in Nashville, expect a lot of exciting big news about the talented singer. The release of his new single, “I Am The One,” is just the beginning.

Kennedy has also recorded a music video for the single, featuring scenes shot in both Ireland and Nashville. The video can be found at

Dierks Bentley Gets “Drunk On A Plane” With New Single!

Award winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley ascends to 40,000 feet with the release of his new single “Drunk On A Plane,” available at country radio now.   Written by Josh Kear, Chris Tompkins and Bentley, the track is country music storytelling at its best as the narrator is left standing alone at the alter but finds the strength to forge ahead on a hilarious solo trip to Cancun.

“I have never been jilted at the altar, but I have had a marriage proposal rejected….all you can do is pray there’s a good return policy for the ring, get drunk and carry on,” laughed Bentley.  “Whether I have the band with me on stage or it’s just me and my guitar, the fans love this song, and they catch on to the choruses immediately.  It’s a fun song, but when you really listen, there’s also an underlying lonesomeness which is what makes it different that a lot of the other uptempo songs I’ve put out.”

“In the middle of his new album ‘Riser’ comes Nashville’s freshest, funniest party song of the past two years. His fiancé bailed and he had two weeks of vacation and nonrefundable tickets for the honeymoon, so he’s getting mile-high drunk en route to Cancun.”  – Star Tribune

“Catchiest chorus Nashville has heard in a while.” – Billboard

“He’s released his share of party-friendly hits, and his new album Riser does feature a song called ‘Drunk on a Plane.’ But Bentley has always been more nuanced and reflective than his fellow country bros, and Riser’s best moments are heartfelt and personal. Even ‘Drunk on a Plane’ is full of regret…” – Las Vegas Weekly

“Bentley’s often shown a sly sense of humor, and it surfaces on the entertaining ‘Drunk on a Plane,’ which manages to turn a poignant portrait of heartbreak into a party song.”  – Associated Press

Country Weekly is giving fans a behind the scenes look at the making of “Drunk On A Plane” from the studio and on the road. To watch, click here.

“Drunk On A Plane” is the second single off Bentley’s No. one album RISER on Capitol Records Nashville, which has already seen its lead single “I Hold On” top the country radio charts, marking Bentley’s 11th career No. one as both an artist and songwriter. Next month, Bentley will kick off his headlining 2014 RISER TOUR on May 9 in Charlotte, NC. For more information on new music and upcoming tour dates, visit www.dierks.com.
