About Brooks & Dunn:

With 20 No. One hits stretching back to 1991, two GRAMMY awards, dozens of ACM and CMA honors and a discography counting more album sales than any duo in history – regardless of genre – Brooks & Dunn’s influence on today’s country has never been in question. Hits like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria” and “Believe” have propelled the duo to more than 30 million albums sold, with the New York Times heralding “together they helped drive the power-country era of the early-to-mid 1990s and continued to benefit from the sea change in the genre they helped initiate right through their most recent albums.” Their original “Merle Haggard meets The Rolling Stones” vibe made them progressive stars in their own right. The duo’s recently released collaboration project REBOOT debuted at No. One on Billboard’s Top Country Albums. The impressive feat marks the first time the duo has topped the album charts since 2009 while simultaneously earning the duo their 10th Billboard 200 Top 10 album, the most of any country duo or group in the chart’s history. This year, the duo will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in the “Modern Era Artist” category. A Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit on Brooks & Dunn will also open Aug. 9. CMT Hosts Inaugural CMT Songbird Supper Club

To kick off the celebration of this year’s CMT Music Awards, CMT hosted the inaugural CMT Songbird Supper Club on June 2nd at the Neuhoff Site.

Maggie Rose and Them Vibes entertain the crowd.

Located in the historic Germantown area of Nashville, the long-abandoned, former meat packing plant, Neuhoff Site at 1308 Adams St., has recently been turned into an upscale event venue. Beautifully-decorated to help kick off a week of special events hosted by CMT.

Neuhoff Site

The CMT Songbird Supper Club follows in the tradition from years past of a special dinner that CMT has held in honor of the current CMT Music Awards’ nominees with artists and industry only present. This year, under its new name, CMT opened up a limited number of tickets to the public for purchase to experience a night of fine dining and live music.

The evening began with guests first enjoying a cocktail reception just outside the venue. There was a nice selection of special drinks created for the event with waitstaff serving hors d’vores created by some of the visiting chefs.

Following the cocktail reception, guests made their way into the main event hall with a stage along with several long, candlelit tables that filled the elegantly-decorated room to enjoy the dinner and the musical performances.

My personal favorite dish that was served was the squash with yellow curry sauce with white rice. Going to try to replicate that one from my home!

CMT brought in a collection of culinary superstars from across the U.S. for this very special evening. The chefs included: Roxana Jullapat (East Hollywood, CA), Erik Bruner-Yang (Washington, D.C.), Will Thompson (Miami, FL), Sarah Gavigan (Nashville, TN), and Kristen Kish (Austin, TX).

As guests dined on delectable gourmet dishes from the talented chefs, we were treated to live music. Them Vibes, Twinnie, and Hannah Ellis started out the music for the evening with Maggie Rose joining with her band, Them Vibes, to close out this special night. They stole the show combining Maggie Rose’s powerful, distinctive vocals with the groove that Them Vibes provided as they played their own unique mix of country, soul, and blues bringing the crowd to their feet as most took to the dance floor to end the night on a festive high note.

It was certainly a success and an event that I hope returns next year!

Pandora Live Shines With First All-Female Line-Up

On Monday, June 3rd, Pandora returned to town with their annual CMA Fest week event, Pandora Live, at the beautiful and historic Marathon Music Works in Nashville.

This year’s event featured crowd-pleasing performances by Maren Morris, Lindsay Ell, and Tenille Townes, the first all-female line-up in the history of the event in Nashville.

Always a popular, free event, this year’s Pandora Live set record numbers in attendance. The line to get inside the venue wrapped around the block at Marathon Village as music fans stood patiently in line for hours prior fighting the heat and humidity just for the opportunity to see the show.

The crowd was not disappointed and the record-setting concert in attendance featuring the all-female line-up demonstrated that country music fans WILL show up in droves and certainly DO want to hear from the many talented female artists in country music. Hope you are taking notice, country radio! This is a conversation that has continued for too long among the industry and fans alike. Happy to see Pandora, CMT, and more featuring and supporting women. Each of the three artists featured are also members of CMT Next Women of Country.

GRAMMY winner Maren Morris closed out the night as headliner and was joined on-stage at one point by country artist and boyfriend, Ryan Hurd, to sing “All My Favorite People”. ACM Award nominee Lindsay Ell always stuns with her stellar electric guitar skills. She has grown so much as an artist, has really found her voice, and gained strong stage presence as a performer gaining experience as she continuously tours all over the world. New artist Tenille Townes always delights the crowd with her sweet, approachable presence and unique vocals.

Preceeding the musical performances, fans had an opportunity to taste some Twisted Tea posing with their fun photo opportunity simulating floating on water, nibble on some fresh Krystal cheeseburgers and fried apple pies, sample some Burt’s Bees products, make their own crown at Baskin-Robbins, pose for a picture with the USAA photo opportunity that included a giant acoustic guitar, and even get a shave or haircut at the mobile barber shop from Cremo, and free giveaways from Shipt. All thanks to these generous sponsors, which is always a fun interactive experience that changes up at each of the Pandora Live events.

Be sure to download the free Pandora app on your phones at Google Play or Apple store. I know it is a favorite of mine to listen to, especially as I’m walking or by the pool.

High Fashion And A Night To Remember At 2019 Nashville Symphony Fashion Show

If you’re looking for a night filled with super-chic fashion and the metropolis’s most eccentric and elegent art supporters, look no further than the Nashville Symphony Fashion Show 2019.

This year was the 10th anniversary and boasted Carolina Herrera’s fall collection, Presented by Gus Mayer with a special appearance by Creative Director Wes Gordon. The show featured country entertainer Lauren Alaina with ticket proceeds supporting the Nashville Symphony’s artistic, educational, and community programming.

There was a the VIP party held upstairs with a step & repeat.  Downstairs on the side patios featured open bars and live music.

The crowd was dressed to the nines, I myself wore a black, velvet and sheer sparkle-studded Johnathan Kayne jumpsuit.

The CH collection was an an obvious omauge to 60s mod and a true testament to the multifaceted woman. The runway was directly in the middle of the glowing symphony hall and was constantly being splashed with bright falling orange or magenta chefon and electric blue died furs.

Sammi Moore stunned in a long black, button down, taffeta-dress complete with pockets. The newest Victoria Secret model, Sofie Rovenstine, displayed her signature smile, Carolina Horerra’s fun choice of brightly printed silks and bellowing sleeves. Sheridan walked in a fitted black suit with a surprise peekaboo cutout in back.

CH brought in embroidered leather, high necklines, and high hemlines, some doused in rhinestones and all paired perfectly with the hero of the night… the Manolo flat.  Big cheers Bobbi Jo Hemmen and the team at Gus Mayer for creating a vision on the runway that encapsulated what women desire… easy-beauty and comfortable-freedom.

Shoutout to Codigo 1530 for making the yummiest Tequila refreshments for the pregame and the killer after party.

Redneck Riviera Celebrates One Year Anniversary June 7 With John Rich Appearing Everyday During CMA Music Fest

John Rich and friends to perform everyday during CMA Music Fest

Friends include Deana Carter, Daryl Worley, Heidi Newfield, Jason Michael Carroll, Mo Pitney, Natalie Stovall, Cowboy Troy, Lonestar, Honeysuckle Rose, Glen Templeton, Dillon Carmichael and many more

Country music star John Rich who lives by his “work hard, play hard” motto will be raising a glass at this years CMA Music Fest in celebration of Redneck Riviera’s one year anniversary on Friday, June 7.  Fans can meet and see a performance of the singer/songwriter and entrepreneur each day at Redneck Riviera, along with his famous “friends” during CMA’s Country Music Fest.

To see the full list and show times of performances, visit www.redneckriviera.com.

There is no place like this on Broadway – John at times will sit in a specific corner of the bar with street access through a window and talk to fans as they pass by. He’s also been known to jump up on stage and sit in with the scheduled band for a song or two. There are two ‘live’ stages, a DJ on the rooftop deck with sweeping views of Music City and a bar on every floor. Redneck Riviera offers two “heroes” bars that offer special buy-one-get-one free prices to first responders, veterans and active duty military personnel. John shares, “The Heroes Bar is the most significant and soulful part of Redneck Riviera. This is where we not only get to say, ‘Thank you for your service,’ but we back that up by offering our military vets, active duty and all first responders their first round of a 2-for-1 on all domestic beers. These folks are the backbone of our nation and we love them!” The Heroes bars’ backdrop is an American flag made of beer cans.  Take a virtual tour of the bar HERE.
Unlike most of the bars on Lower Broadway where artists names on the marquee via licensing agreements, Rich owns Redneck Riviera. The singer designed the space and his brother Isaac Rich personally cut every piece of wood in the building — along with the three wooden bars and the wood covered walls. He also credits his brother with building the light fixtures, refurbishing the Airstream trailer on the second floor and installing all of the taxidermy that decorates the walls.

Redneck Riviera is located at 208 Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee.
