New country group Levon, dually signed to Sony Music’s Columbia Nashville and Epic Records, have released their self-titled debut EP. Produced and arranged by Jamie Houston for GB Productions, the five-song EP is available now for fans to download and stream.

Levon consists of three best friends: Northbrook, Illinois, native Michael David Hall (on guitar and lead vocals, with a soaring five-octave range); Sumter, South Carolina’s Jake Singleton (on harmonies, bass, and percussion); and Camden, Tennessee, native Ryan Holladay (on guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonies). View a Levon brief video biography HERE.
Showcasing the band’s compelling song craft and harmonies, as well as their genre-transcending performance style and sound, their Levon EP features the following selections and songwriters:
1. “Why Oh Why”
Michael David Hall/James Dean Hicks/Jamie Houston
2. “Runaway Love”
Michael David Hall/Chris Lindsey/Jamie Houston
3. “Wired”
Michael David Hall/Marc Beeson/Jamie Houston
4. “Give Up Your Heart”
Jamie Houston/Craig Wiseman
5. “Ms. Marianne”
Michael David Hall/James Dean Hicks/Jamie Houston

Currently on a nationwide country radio tour to promote their new EP, Levon took yesterday off to fly to Pittsburgh, PA for a concert performance. While in flight, the band surprised Southwest Airlines passengers with an a cappella rendition of “Give Up Your Heart” HERE.
A debut single from the Levon EP will impact country radio this summer.
A few of the trio’s musical roots are suggested by their name, an homage to the talents of The Band’s Levon Helm, as well as Elton John and his song, “Levon.”  All in their twenties, Levon’s members nonetheless share a collective musical passion for the 1970s “Laurel Canyon Sound” generation whose lyrics and melodies have remained relevant long after their time on the charts.
Playing such Music City-area venues as Puckett’s in nearby Leiper’s Fork and gigging for tips outside Nashville fave, the Pancake Pantry, contributed to the early buzz on Levon.  To date, the band has expanded its résumé to include festival dates and opening slots for such artists as Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson, Kelsea Ballerini, Alabama and many others.

Per Rolling Stone Country: “Midland Are Bridging The Country-Pop Divide”

“There’s never been a better time for what’s next than right now,” commands Rolling Stone Country writer Joe Gugala in a new article out today. Gugala’s statement is in reference to the seeming sonic shift in Country music and the rise of MIDLAND, a new trio from Dripping Springs, TX whose music encompasses, “Eagles-era Seventies country, a smoky honky-tonk soundtrack for couples spinning around the dance floor, the smell of spilled beer thick in the air. But like a vintage car with a rebuilt engine, Midland’s classic sound has a thoroughly modern heart.”

The profile captures Midland on the road promoting their debut single “Drinkin’ Problem.” Read extended feature here.

Produced by Dann Huff and Shane McAnally, “Drinkin’ Problem” is within the Top 20 on Country radio charts and has no signs of slowing down. The single’s chart momentum has made it the fastest rising debut single ever released to Country radio by Big Machine Label Group – the record label that also launched the careers of Superstars Taylor Swift and Florida Georgia Line.

Just yesterday, the music video for “Drinkin’ Problem” was nominated for a CMT Music Award in the Group Video of the Year category. Click here to vote now. Midland is spotlighted alongside established acts like Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Eli Young Band and Old Dominion.

The trio joins Tim McGraw and Faith Hill at the end of the month for Canadian dates of their acclaimed SOUL2SOUL WORLD TOUR and heads out with Kenny Chesney for shows in August. Midland will also perform at select fairs and festivals this summer leading into the September release of their full length debut album. Full details and more information available at MidlandOfficial.com.

“There are a lot of crazy action scenes – a lot of firsts for me in general in this video,” said Thomas Rhett. “I’ve always wanted to get to do a fight sequence and play a tough guy, but I think Maren definitely shows me up! TK really pushed us both since we’d never really acted before.”

10 Questions With Temecula Road: Getting To Know Them

Temecula Road: Emma, Maddie & Dawson Photo credit: Shayla Eddins

Temecula Road is a young country trio comprised of Emma, Dawson & Maddie from California.

Newly-signed to Disney Music Group’s Buena Vista Records, they are Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing featured artists.

With their fresh faces, sound and strong harmonies, this is just the beginning of their careers and we look forward to hearing much more from them.

We want our readers to get to know this talented group, so here are 10 questions with Temecula Road!

1) How did you get the name for the group?

Emma: We wanted our name to represent our roots. We’re all from Temecula, California. That’s where we met and started this crazy journey, so it speaks to where we came from.

2) How did you come together as a group? Your story for when decided to pursue a career in music?

Dawson: We all were living in Temecula, but went to different schools, so our paths first crossed at vocal lessons. We started singing together right after we met and the rest is history!

Maddie: Emma and I are sisters and our parents always had CMT on in the house when we were growing up. We would always sing-a-long and Emma would harmonize with me. That’s where it all started for us.

3) Musical influences?

Dawson: I love so many people. Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay, Lady Antebellum. The list goes on!

Emma: I love Dan + Shay, too! We’re all obsessed with them. Their harmonies are amazing.

Maddie: Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, and Maren Morris are my favorites. I love females with big voices.

4) How would you describe your music?

Emma: There’s a big focus on harmonies in our music. The blend of our three voices has become our signature thing.

Dawson: I play acoustic guitar and Emma plays mandolin, so those sounds are always incorporated into our music.

5) If you could go on tour with anyone, who would it be?

Emma: Dan + Shay for sure!

Dawson: Thomas Rhett or Luke Bryan.

Maddie: Carrie Underwood! I would die.

6) When not making music or performing, what do you like to do?

Maddie: I love watching makeup tutorials and Netflix.

Emma: I love photography, spending time with my boyfriend, and playing with my dog, Wilson.

Dawson: Hanging with my friends and playing any sport.

7) If you were not in music, what would each of you like to do?

Emma: I would be a neonatal intensive care nurse.

Maddie: I would be a makeup artist.

Dawson: An actor or firefighter.

8) What/who are each of you listening to?

Maddie: Maren Morris! I’m in love with her whole album.

Emma: I love Brett Young’s new album. And of course Dan + Shay.

Dawson: Dan + Shay for me, too. I also love Levi Hummon’s new single.

9) What has been your most memorable experience so far as a group and what’s next for you?

Dawson: Randomly meeting Luke Bryan and getting to talk to him at CMA Fest last year was probably the most memorable. We were warming up in an empty room that was apparently his dressing room and he just walked in. He was the nicest guy and told us to keep warming up.

Maddie: Meeting Carrie Underwood and opening up for Martina McBride. Both dreams come true!

Emma: We’ve met Dan + Shay a few times and they’re just my favorites. We got to see their set when we both performed at C2C in London and it was amazing.

10) Tell us about your new single.

Maddie: Our current single is “What If I Kissed You” and it’s just so relatable. It’s about that moment of anticipation between two people waiting to see who will make the first move.

Dawson: It’s one of our favorites and we’re so glad people are loving it! So thankful for all the love and support.

About Temecula Road:

Named after the town they grew up in (Temecula, CA), Dawson, Maddie, and Emma are ready to bring their brand of country music from SoCal to the rest of the world. Sisters Maddie Salute, 16, and Emma Salute, 17, have been singing together for years, and joined forces with longtime friend, Dawson Anderson, 17, to form Temecula Road. Noted for their impeccable three-part harmonies, the trio writes their own original material, backed by Dawson on guitar and Emma on mandolin.

Called out by The Huffington Post as one of the top country artists to watch in 2016, Temecula Road spent the year opening for Martina McBride, Josh Turner, Joe Nichols, Sara Evans, Eli Young Band and Love And Theft and joined Jessie James Decker on a nationwide, sold out tour. They also supported Kenny Rogers for select dates on his farewell tour.

Kicking off 2017, Radio Disney named Temecula Road it’s newest Next Big Thing featured artist, one of only two breakout country acts since the program’s inception. Following in the footsteps of Next Big Thing alums Kelsea Ballerini, Shawn Mendes, and Alessia Cara, the group will be presented nationally on Radio Disney, Disney Channel, and across Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country’s digital platforms.

With talent far beyond their teenage years and an infectious, youthful energy, Temecula Road has already amassed a sizeable and loyal following online with their series of song covers. A recent mashup video of the trio singing portions of 2016’s top 20 country songs in a mere 3 minutes garnered them over 7 million views online and 89,000 shares on Facebook alone. Their covers have also earned praise from Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Dan + Shay, Cam, and RaeLynn.

Signed to Disney Music Group’s Buena Vista Records, Temecula Road’s first single, “What If I Kissed You” (written by Jimmy Robbins, Sara Haze and Mike Daly), was released on February 17.

Scotty McCreery Releases New Single, “Five More Minutes”

The phrase “the song remembers when” was definitely true for Scotty McCreery when he wrote “Five More Minutes” in 2015, a fan favorite that he first premiered on The Grand Ole Opry stage last year. In the song, a reflective McCreery recalls events ranging from an early date with longtime sweetheart Gabi to his grandfather’s final moments. He is finally sharing it with the world this Friday, May 5, through digital retailers (including iTunes and Amazon) and online streaming services.

“I’ve been performing ‘Five More Minutes’ in my live show every night for almost a year and it always earns a standing ovation,” said McCreery. “Fans have been asking me for months to release it. When Frank, Monty and I got together to write, we talked about all those moments we could’ve used five more minutes to say ‘I love you’ or ‘goodbye’….it poured out.  Now we can get it out to fans on Friday, May 5. ‘Five More Minutes’ on 5/5… it’s fate. And it’s my favorite song I’ve ever written.”

McCreery wrote “Five More Minutes” with Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell in 2015, two weeks after the passing of his paternal grandfather who serves as a major inspiration for the song.  In a few minutes’ time, McCreery takes the listener on an emotional journey through both the joys and sorrows of life, ending with a plea for “five more minutes” with his grandfather. The song was produced by Rogers.

The multi-Platinum-selling singer debuted the song on the Grand Ole Opry in June 2016 to a standing ovation and thunderous applause. A video of the performance was soon posted to the Opry’s YouTube channel, quickly garnering millions of views in spite of the fact that the song had not yet been released. The performance recently earned McCreery a Rare Country Award for Grand Ole Opry Moment of the Year.

5/5/5MM

McCreery made history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart. He has gone on to see all three of his albums debut at No. 1 on a Billboard album chart, with current sales nearing 3 million copies. In addition to receiving both a Platinum and Gold album, he’s earned one Gold single and three Platinum singles, and achieved two Top Ten hits with “Feelin’ It” and “See You Tonight.” The latter song earned McCreery both his first BMI Award for writing one of the Top 50 Country Songs of 2015 and his first Music Row No. 1 Challenge Coin. He was named the ACM New Artist of the Year Award in 2011, won the CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (“The Trouble with Girls”) in 2012; and American Country Awards for new Artist of the Year in 2011 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013. In 2016, McCreery released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream.  For more information and his current tour schedule, visit www.ScottyMcCreery.com.

Brothers Osborne Releases “It Ain’t My Fault” Music Video With Vevo Debut, Join Chris Stapleton On Tour

Reigning ACM and CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year,” Brothers Osborne, debuts the music video for their raucous new single “It Ain’t My Fault” with VEVO today, watch HERE. John and TJ Osborne partnered with directors Wes Edwards and Ryan Silver for the eccentric video that originated as a comedic spoof on the action film Point Break. Brothers Osborne portray pawn shop owners who are robbed at gunpoint by four masked men disguised as former presidents. Hijinks ensue as the video chronicles the consequential police chase.

For an inside look at the making of the “It Ain’t My Fault” video, People.com has premiered an exclusive behind-the-scenes piece which can be viewed HERE.

“The media these days is flooded with all things presidential and politics,” John notes. “No matter what happens, politicians all seem to pin the blame on something else as opposed to being accountable for their own actions. We felt the connection with the song title was perfect.”

TJ adds, “John and I always like song titles that aren’t immediately obvious but are common everyday sayings. We’re all guilty of saying ‘It Ain’t My Fault’ more so than it actually being true. When our co-writer, Lee Thomas Miller, brought up the idea we loved it. We wanted a video that was as exciting as the music.”

Climbing country radio’s Top 25, “It Ain’t My Fault” is Brothers Osborne’s current single off their critically-acclaimed debut album, Pawn Shop. The infectious track is quickly winning over both critics and fans alike with Rolling Stone Country praising, “‘It Ain’t My Fault’ rejuvenates the tired country-rock vibe overrunning the airwaves…it’s unique in the sonic landscape.” The song has already cracked the Top 20 on Shazam’s country charts and continues to increase in sales rankings each week.

“It Ain’t My Fault” follows the duo’s GRAMMY-nominated single “21 Summer” as well as the GRAMMY-nominated, Platinum-certified, No.1 smash hit “Stay A Little Longer.” The singer/songwriter siblings recently swept both duo categories at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards joining Brooks & Dunn as the only country music duos to win both “New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year” as well as “Vocal Duo of the Year” in the same night. They also stand as the reigning CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year.”

Brothers Osborne will next join Chris Stapleton as part of his All American Road Show starting May 5th in Atlanta. For a full list of tour dates, news, images and more, visit www.BrothersOsborne.com
