Randy Houser & Friends Shine At The Annual Grover Benefit Concert

The Grove Manor

Just outside of Franklin, sits the beautiful gated community called The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee.  This was the site of the annual Grover Benefit Concert last Sunday night, September 24th, at the Grove Manor.

Many residents from this gorgeous residential community attended along with supporters of the charity on the balmy fall evening to enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and the concert while participating in the silent action that included an autographed guitar from Carrie Underwood, signed Mike Fisher hockey stick, signed Vince Gill lyrics, and much more.  All net proceeds raised were donated to Agape Animal Rescue, Williamson County Animal Center, and The First Tee.

The concert took place outside on the lawn of the Grove Manor in front of the pond among soft candlelight sprinkling the beautifully-manicured grounds close to the tastefully-decorated stage that had been set up for the event.  Beginning with a great acoustic set by hit songwriters, Neil Thrasher and Kelley Lovelace, featuring some of their hits made famous by Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, and Randy Houser.  Followed by a fantastic full band performance by Randy Houser, whose vocals are strong as ever and he interacted comfortably with the crowd throughout his set.  Following his performance Steve Cropper, Lee Brice, and Jamey Johnston joined the fun by closing out the night to the delight of the crowd.

Such a wonderful and successful evening for a good cause! We appreciate being invited to enjoy this incredible annual event that was followed the next day by a golf tournament to raise funds for Agape Animal Rescue.

About Agape Animal Rescue

At Agape, we have seen it all when it comes to man’s best friend.  But despite the misfortunes these animals have endured, our commitment to them remains steadfastly clear: to provide loving, emotionally stable, nurturing foster care for them while they wait for their forever homes, for their forever families.

Through no fault of their own, our dogs found themselves in homeless situations. We are dedicated to making a positive difference in these dogs’ lives from the moment they enter our foster program.  Our goal is to help these animals in every way we can…emotionally, socially, physically…so that the transition onto their forever homes will be as smooth as possible. We strive to teach our dogs basic obedience skills, including proper leash manners and friendly house manners. And we strive to match our dogs with the best family possible, working through as many applications as necessary to find a home that offers the dog the most fulfilling, enriched life.

On behalf of all the dogs waiting for a forever family, we thank you for your interest in improving the lives of these deserving animals.

More About REBOOT Recovery:
REBOOT Combat Recovery (REBOOT) was founded in 2011 by Evan and Dr. Jenny Owens. Dr. Jenny L. Owens is a licensed occupational therapist specializing in traumatic brain injury and PTSD. Evan A. Owens is certified in military ministry related to soldiers and families dealing with PTSD.  REBOOT is a 501(c)3 organization and is tax exempt.  REBOOT offers a 12-week combat trauma healing course to help combat veterans and their families heal from the spiritual and moral injuries of war associated with post-traumatic stress and combat trauma.
War wounds the soul. Over the past several years, the medical community has expanded its view of the impact of trauma. Now, many acknowledge that combat trauma directly impacts not only the mind and body but also the soul. This type of injury is called moral injury. Moral injury can manifest itself in the form of anger, anxiety, depression, social withdrawal, and, most tragically, suicide.  At REBOOT, we believe these symptoms are often linked to deep-rooted soul wounds related to unresolved grief, distrust of God/self/others, unforgiveness, bitterness, and loss of identity.
REBOOT “communities” are safe, private, and mostly veteran-led. Childcare and a pre-discussion meal are provided on a weekly basis to remove barriers of entry for families seeking help. We encourage the participation of spouses and affected family members because we know that trauma impacts the entire family.  For efforts outside of our lane of expertise, we partner with many government and non-profit agencies to provide the most wholistic care possible to these hurting families. For more information or to get involved please visit www.rebootrecovery.com.

About Kip Moore And “Kip’s Kids Fund:”
Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore’s already-revered “thoroughly vital, 13-song collection” (NPR) SLOWHEART is available everywhere now. Moore has hit his stride with SLOWHEART, with critics including Noisey declaring the release as “the sound of an uncompromising, genre-defying artist firing on all cylinders,” while his current Top 10 single “More Girls Like You,” is the fastest rising single of his career. SLOWHEART follows the acclaim that surrounded his sophomore album WILD ONES heralded as “an impressively singular release from Music Row” by The Guardian. Moore first turned heads with his debut album UP ALL NIGHT which was recently certified Double-PLATINUM by the RIAA and spawned three No. One hit singles including GOLD certified “Beer Money,” PLATINUM certified “Hey Pretty Girl,” and the DOUBLE PLATINUM breakout hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck. Moore, who has trail-blazed his own path with his reputation-making live show recently announced his headlining PLEAD THE FIFTH TOUR kicking off on 10/19 as well as headlining dates in U.K this fall. Moore’s “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project” raising funds for “Kip’s Kids Fund” was born as a passion project, with the goal of finding an outlet to showcase Moore’s love for the alternative sports lifestyle, and his desire to help inner city children. Phase one cities of the project included building and developing skateparks in Nashville, TN; Boston, MA; San Marcos, TX; Cincinnati, OH and Annapolis, MD. The “Comeback Kid Skatepark Project” is the first initiative of “Kip’s Kids Fund,” a donor-advised fund through The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) focused on youth and teens. As a result, the “Kip’s Kid Fund” provides alternative outlets for youth to engage in healthy habits and physical activities like skateboarding, in addition to the traditional sports offerings where they live. Jessie James Decker Partners With Tide Loads Of Hope

On Friday, August 18th, Tide Loads of Hope in partnership with country singer, designer, reality star, and wife of Tennessee Titan Eric Decker, Jessie James Decker, kicked off a cross-country journey called “Driving for Hope” and Nashville was the first stop to help those at the Nashville Rescue Mission.

Tide Loads of Hope is a mobile laundromat that travels across the country offering full service laundry to those people in-need and affected by crisis.  It was originally created in response to help those devastated by Hurricane Katrina to provide some comfort to people in the midst of crisis.  Something that we take for granted every day, but for those in these sort of circumstances it provides a desperate need and gives a sense of normalcy during an uncertain time.  Since its inception, Tide has helped to renew hope, normalcy, and provide their mobile services to over 45,000 families across the country.

Jessie James Decker has a love for giving back to her community and is thrilled to be partnered with this cross country initiative.  “Driving for Hope” is a clothing drive to collect, renew, and donate clothing directly to families in need and in crisis across the U.S.  With the recent Hurricane Harvey damage in Houston and surrounding areas in Texas, this need is heightened.  “When Tide Loads of Hope called and told me that they would like to partner together for a clothing drive in Nashville, I loved the opportunity to give back in my hometown. I love how simple it is – washing clothing for someone in need can give them so much confidence.”

We loved the opportunity to speak with Jessie James Decker about her involvement with Tide Loads of Hope and “Driving for Hope”.

Thank you to Tide and Jessie James Decker for your service to the Nashville community!

On a lighter side, here’s few more fun facts and what’s going on with Jessie!

Favorite place to eat in Nashville?

“My favorite place to eat in Nashville is Epice. It’s an amazing Lebanese restaurant!”

Favorite place to shop in Nashville?

“My favorite place to shop in Nashville is the Nordstrom at the Mall at Green Hills.”

What do you like to do when not making music?

“When I’m not working on my music, I love being with my kids, and giving them 1:1 time. It’s so important! I also like to work on my fashion line and explore Nashville. Nashville has grown so much over the last four years – I like to check out the scene and try new restaurants!”

What’s next for you careerwise?

“I have a full album coming out in October!”

We can’t wait to hear more from her in the near future!
