Home Free Asks “What’s The World Coming To?” In New Video

NASHVILLE, TENN. (October 11, 2019) — Already well-known for their knockout vocals, HOME FREE puts their voices on full display to encourage future generations to step up and make a difference with today’s release of the brand-new video for “What’s the World Coming To?”

Chronicling a young girl’s mission to make the world a better place, the video begins in a classroom, where she finds inspiration for her upcoming science fair project. After learning the unfortunate effects of pollution on the environment, we see her diving into the world of wind power, sketching plans and building a model windmill, which she proudly displays the night of the fair. Flashing forward several years, her project becomes reality, and she stands as a young-adult, examining a massive version of the model she created years prior. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.

Shot by The Bolo Brothers, the clip is the perfect visual accompaniment to the thought-provoking tune, which was co-written by the group’s bassist, Tim Foust, alongside Eric Arjes and Mark Nesler. “What’s the World Coming To?” serves as one of the 10 original tracks off Home Free’s top-charting album, DIVE BAR SAINTS (Home Free Records).

This weekend, Home Free will wrap the fall leg of their massive DIVE BAR SAINTS WORLD TOUR with back-to-back headlining shows at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium on Friday (10/11) and Saturday (10/12).

Up next, the quintet has a small winter leg of their DIVE BAR SAINTS WORLD TOUR scheduled before they close out their year in a festive way, embarking on their DIVE BAR CHRISTMAS TOUR at the end of next month. From there, Home Free will continue their DIVE BAR SAINTS WORLD TOUR in the new year, taking the trek overseas and hitting 16 countries with over 100 total shows through October of next year.

Some praise for Reckless & Me:   “Kiefer Sutherland is ready to show the music world how it’s done.” –Mitchell Peters, Billboard, March 9, 2019

“…a collection of freewheeling honky-tonk anthems that will speak to every outlaw soul…Reckless & Me standouts that embody the freedom that touring life provides include his current single ‘This Is How It’s Done,’ opener ‘Open Road’ and ‘Something You Love.’ His take on Patty Loveless’ ‘Blame it On Your Heart’ is irresistible, and ‘Agave’ offers a Bonnie-and-Clyde storyline that’s set south of the border with salsa undertones and blues-rock guitar riffs that make it sound like two songs in one.” –Lauren Tingle, CMT, April 23, 2019

“Kiefer Sutherland has shared his anthemic new ‘Something You Love’…Springsteen-esque and hard-charging…” —The Boot, March 22, 2019

“…his infectious brand of Americana/country-rock and his whiskey-soaked growl…produced by Jude Cole, Reckless & Me also highlights Sutherland’s master storytelling ability, particularly on songs like ‘Something You Love,’ ‘Open Road’ and the locomotive-like ‘This Is How It’s Done.’ All of which lend themselves equally well to both the record and live performance.” –James Wood, Guitar World, April 4, 2019

“Kiefer Sutherland proves he’s a storyteller with his new album Reckless & Me… Sutherland proves he’s a true artist with the ability to tell his story across multiple art forms in a compelling way.” –Cillea Houghton, Sounds Like NashvilleApril 23, 2019

October 12, 2019 – NASHVILLE, TN – The Grand Ole Opry celebrated Dolly Parton’s 50th anniversary as an Opry member tonight with two sold out shows honoring arguably country music’s greatest global ambassador.

The superstar performed on both sold-out shows tonight, capping the week-long celebration of Parton’s impact on music and the Opry. The Opry star performed some of her biggest hits for the sold-out crowd including “Joshua,” “Jolene,” “My Tennessee Mountain Home,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “Here You Come Again,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You.” She also welcomed banjo great Buck Trent, a member of Porter Wagoner’s “Wagonmasters” who played lead guitar on Parton’s classics “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene,” to perform Wagoner’s “Carroll County Accident.”

Select performances from Friday night’s Opry as well as tonight’s show were filmed for an NBC Television special “Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Grand Ole Opry” which airs Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 9-11 p.m. ET/PT. The special celebrates Parton’s 50 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry and will feature new interviews as well as performances from Parton and some of her superstar friends who performed in her honor – Dierks Bentley, Emmylou Harris, Chris Janson, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Margo Price, Hank Williams Jr., and others.

Between shows, at a backstage reception with Parton’s fellow Opry members, friends, family and artists who participated in Dolly Week, Tennessee’s Governor Bill Lee presented her with a proclamation declaring October 12 as Dolly Parton Day.

In 2014 the RIAA recognized her impact on recorded music with a plaque commemorating more than 100 million units sold worldwide – and in 2016 her No. 1 album Pure & Simple, which topped the Billboard Top Country Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts and debuted at No. 1 in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Australia, added to that massive tally. She has garnered eight Grammy Awards, including a 2017 win with Pentatonix for their collaboration on her iconic 1974 hit “Jolene”; 10 Country Music Association Awards, including Entertainer of the Year; five Academy of Country Music Awards, also including a nod for Entertainer of the Year; four People’s Choice Awards; and three American Music Awards. In 1999, Parton was inducted as a member of the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame.

In 2008 Parton launched her return to touring on a global scale with Backwoods Barbie World Tour, the first of many sold-out arena tours, returning her to Billboard Boxscore’s Top 10 Country Tours of the Year. Her 2016 movie “Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle Of Love,” was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Television Movie. In 2017, Parton released her first children’s album, I Believe In You, on Dolly Records through her partnership with Sony Music Nashville; the project’s proceeds benefit The Dollywood Foundation’s Imagination Library, a non-profit that in August 2019 gave away over 1.4M books, and has given away a total of over 125M books to date to children from birth to five years of age in the United States, Canada, Australia and the UK. In 2018, Parton received her first two Emmy Awards as the organization recognized her lifetime of giving with the Governor’s Award and the award for Best Community Service Program lauding her 2016 telethon “Smoky Mountains Rise,” which raised more than $13 million for her My People fund, which provided financial assistance to victims of massive wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Parton recently collaborated with producer Linda Perry on the soundtrack for the Golden Globe nominated film Dumplin’ starring Jennifer Aniston and Danielle MacDonald. In addition, Netflix will be releasing an eight part anthology film series called Heartstrings thru her Sandollar Productions in association with Magnolia Hill Productions, with each individual film based on one of Dolly’s masterful songs. Nashville- (October 12, 2019)– President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter visited the Grand Ole Opry last night while in Nashville for a weeklong build marking the 36th year of their Habitat for Humanity Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. In a surprise moment, Opry members Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood introduced them on stage. Brooks and Yearwood have served as Habitat ambassadors for more than a decade and worked alongside the Carters at the build site.

President Carter had previously visited the Opry House as Governor of Georgia and again during his presidential term. President Richard Nixon was the first U.S. President to visit the Opry when he attended the opening night of the Grand Ole Opry House in 1974. President Nixon, who sang and played piano at the Opry that night, is the only President to have performed on the Opry stage.

Opry favorites provided the lunchtime entertainment at the Habitat build site as they performed behind the Opry mic stand for more than 300 volunteers each day Monday – Friday. More than 20 houses were built in North Nashville as part of the project.

Teddy Robb Partners With Otterbox To Share His Story

Teddy Robb
September 19, 2019 – Nashville, TN – Singer/songwriter Teddy Robb is partnering with outdoor adventure company, OtterBox, to share his journey from Nashville, TN to Colorado and back. Fans and friends can head to the OtterBox website to hear him detail his story in his own words, and enter to win an OtterBox adventure pack.

Teddy moved to Nashville ten years ago to pursue a career in country music. Today, he finds himself signed to Monument Records with a single, “Really Shouldn’t Drink Around You” climbing the country radio charts.

If the story was that simple, there would be no need to go on. But in reality, those were ten years packed with heartbreaks, setbacks, and a whole lot of the word “no.”

They were also, however, ten years full of perseverance, determination, and exploration that saw Teddy discover a new musical style and blend sounds from the Colorado mountains, with his favorite county music influences like George Strait and Kenny Chesney.

They were ten years that make this moment in time so much sweeter.

Watch Teddy Robb share his story on the OtterBox website HERE

Listen to Teddy Robb’s debut single, “Really Shouldn’t Drink Around You,” HERE

About Teddy Robb:
Perfecting his craft in Rocky Mountain ski lodges and Nashville’s Honky Tonks, Teddy Robb has a laid-back voice that grabs you like the Colorado winter air and wraps you up in a blanket with someone you love next to a warm fire.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Teddy grew up loving the outdoors. He fished, hiked, and played football through college in Ohio. It was during college when his passion turned to music the moment he heard George Strait’s “Troubadour.” That was it, the decision was made. He called his parents, packed his bags and hit the road. Teddy spent time in Vail, CO playing music to support his snowboarding habit before making the final move to Nashville.

Teddy’s debut radio single, “Really Shouldn’t Drink Around You” is climbing the country music charts. Written by multi-Grammy Award winner Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, and Old Dominion band member Trevor Rosen, the song already has over 35 million worldwide streams to date.

LANCO Releases 2 New Songs Today

LANCO Dives Into Next Chapter with New Single
“What I See” Impacting Country Radio

“What I See” and “Old Camaro” Now Available at All Digital Retailers

NASHVILLE, TN – Oct. 11, 2019 –  Double-PLATINUM Country band and Arista Nashville hit-makers LANCO deliver two new songs today with the release of “What I See” and “Old Camaro.” The irresistibly nostalgic tracks reveal another layer of LANCO, as they fuse together a modern twist on sentimental and nostalgic hometown memories combined with a fresh mix of organic sounds. Written by frontman Brandon Lancaster, drummer Tripp Howell, bassist Chandler Baldwin and Jeremy Spillman, “What I See” ships to radio on Monday (10/14) with an impact date of Nov. 4, and both tracks are available now at all digital retailers.

“We had the idea for ‘What I See’ after our bus picked us up in this little random parking lot with just a rundown bar and restaurant,” Lancaster said. “To us, it might have been insignificant as we were just passing through, but to someone, it could be a landmark. This could be the place where someone spent all their Friday nights or had their first fender-bender in high school. We started talking about all our upbringings, and realized that we all have those places in our own towns that meant something to us whether it’s the football field or just an exit sign. Though insignificant to most, they are part of our stories, so this song shines a light on the idea that ‘there’s more than meets the eye.’”

“What I See” and “Old Camaro”’s classic young love story, follow LANCO’s No. One selling debut HALLELUJAH NIGHTS and their GOLD certified single “Born to Love You.” The chart-topping band heightens their signature anthemic melodies and sing-along choruses after building a consistent following from headlining hundreds of shows this year.

LANCO has paved their course with the success of the 2x PLATINUM single “Greatest Love Story,” which became a multi-week radio chart-topper. Following the release of their No. One selling debut and critically acclaimed album HALLELUJAH NIGHTS, which has over 560 million streams, Lancaster became the first artist in 10 years to have a No. One on the chart solely written by that artist, while LANCO served as the first Country group in a decade to appear at the top of the Billboard Country albums chart with a debut album. LANCO has garnered multiple nominations from the CMT, CMA, ACM, AMA, and iHeartAwards, while Lancaster became the first member of a group to ever win NSAI’s “Songwriter/Artist of the Year.” After hosting capacity crowds overseas and criss-crossing The US and Canada for their own sold out headlining shows this year, LANCO has been tapped as support for Miranda Lambert’s 2020 WILDCARD TOUR. We cannot underestimate the impact of a team that has injected the lives of fans almost every decade for 125 years with world series wins, firmly establishing the Cardinal’s Nation in the heart of Midwest and Southern United States.

The hotel by HKS takes inspiration from the “Gateway City” to the West, where Bootleggers, Speakeasy’s and Beer Gardens fed the culture of a gritty gang of ballplayers. These stories inform the vision for a unique location for loyal lifelong members as well as new initiates to the red bird nation. “Traces of the past” form a foundation of the new Live! by Loews as the hotel sits literally atop the foundation of the old ballpark.

Fairmont TaghazoutMorocco

Agadir, Morocco

Situated on a swathe of pristine beachfront along the Atlantic coast, the Fairmont Taghazout Morocco will be part of the 1,500-acre master planned seaside resort, 16km north of Agadir. Demonstrating a contemporary architectural expression new to this region of Morocco, the HKS-designed resort is opening Spring 2019. Its design tells a story about the transient nature of the site, from the time-honored farming and weaving communities of the Imazighen, also known as Berbers, who were the first known inhabitants of northwest Africa, to the modern-day ‘Agadirens’ seeking leisure and relaxation. The semi-nomadic Imazighen, which translates as ‘free people’, would seek shelter and water amongst the rugged natural surrounds according to the change in seasons, whereas today, holiday makers desire the solitude and thrill of surfing the waves year-round. The property will feature 150 spacious guest-rooms and suites with sea-facing views in addition to 52 Fairmont-branded luxury waterfront villas.

The Grand Hyatt is the first parcel of Nashville Yards, a multi-phase, 15-acre mixed-use development aimed at pumping new life into an underutilized downtown area.

Moxy Austin

Austin, Texas

Moxy Austin is a 158-Key, limited service hotel in Austin, Texas on the western edge of the University of Texas campus. Sited prominently on an abandon corner lot along Guadalupe Street, referred to as “The Drag” by locals, the project is an important part of the area’s revitalization. The massing takes its cues from the external arrival sequence – both vehicular and pedestrian – and echoes the efficient internal programming. Materials are selected based on the local Hill Country vernacular with a base of masonry and reclaimed wood at the ground floor dress the public zones, while metal panels of weathering steel wrap the guest room levels above. The masonry and wood provide a tactile experience down low, resist the abrasion and abuse expected with heavy traffic, and are representative of the community uses at the ground level. The metal panels above provide a natural, ever-evolving quality. The weathering steel changes over time, symbolic of the travelers who come and go at the hotel, evolving in how they experience the building from start of stay until the end. The hotel is designed by HKS.

Of reuniting in the studio with Cobb, guitarist Zach Brown shares, “Dave’s been a long-time supporter of the band. He’s always really believed in us and gets our vision, and always has. I mean, we named our band in his studio 10 years ago. It’s amazing this journey we’ve had with him.” Adds fellow guitarist Bill Satcher, “Dave is a brother. It’s great to get in there and make records with your friends. He is like an additional member of the band in that situation.”

The release of “Livin’ My Best Life” adds to a series of breakout years for A Thousand Horses following their acclaimed full-length debut Southernality in 2015. The album’s lead single, “Smoke,” reached #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, which made them the first group to top the chart with a debut single since Zac Brown Band’s “Chicken Fried” in 2008. Of the band, Rolling Stone praised, “country music’s new Lynyrd Skynyrd…a muscular mix of radio country and Southern rock,” while CMT declared, “stellar…the quartet is learning from the best, making records they believe in, being true to themselves, their artistry and making it happen.” Most recently, the band released 2017’s deluxe EP, Bridges, of which Sounds Like Nashville hailed, “showcases what A Thousand Horses do best with a mixture of heavy Southern rock influences and nostalgic country storytelling that will have listeners begging for more.”

Based in Nashville, TN, A Thousand Horses is Michael Hobby (vocals), Bill Satcher (guitar), Zach Brown (guitar) and Graham DeLoach (bass). Since their debut, the band has toured extensively across the world including dates supporting artists such as Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gregg Allman and more. 2020 tour details to be announced soon.
