Renegade Radio Named Official Radio Station Of Fontanell

Internet radio station Renegade Radio Nashville (RRN) has partnered with Fontanell Mansion to become the attraction’s official radio station. The station will be covering events – everything from concerts to events – effective immediately.

RRN has recently landed in the top 150,000 websites in the United States – currently ranked 147,442 according to alexa.com. With over 3 million impressions each month and a reporting status with MusicRow, the station has quickly become one of the more prominent Internet country stations.

The partnership with Fontanell Mansion was a logical next step.

Nominations Announced for the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards

Fans Will Once Again Vote For Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year

ACM AwardsNominations were announced today for the 48th ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, a star-studded event honoring country music’s best and introducing the industry’s hottest emerging talent. Produced for television by dick clark productions, the ACM Awards will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7th, 2013 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.

Nominees were revealed online via the second annual ACM digital press conference this morning on the Academy’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Iconic singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, The Band Perry, 2 Broke Girls star Beth Behrs, Little Big Town, Scotty McCreery, Ryan Seacrest, The Talk’s Julie Chen, Sarah Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, and Sheryl Underwood, plus Entertainment Tonight co-anchors Nancy O’Dell and Rob Marciano all announced batches of nominations in video postings during the approximately 35 minute online event, which culminated in music fans announcing the nominees for the Academy’s biggest prize, Entertainer of the Year: Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift. For the second year, fans were invited to submit videos naming their favorite artist in this category.

All Three Compete For Fan-Voted ACM New Artist of the Year During Live Telecast of the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards

ACM AwardsThe Academy of Country Music and Kohl’s Department Stores announced today that Brantley Gilbert, Jana Kramer and Florida Georgia Line have been named nominees for this year’s ACM New Artist of the Year Presented By Kohl’s Department Stores, which will be given out during the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.

In the first round of fan voting at GACTV.com, fans helped name Gilbert, Kramer and Florida Georgia Line ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year, ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year and ACM New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year, respectively. The winners of those categories go on to compete for overall ACM New Artist of the Year, which is again a fan-voted category.

JD Souther On This Week’s ASCAP Songwriters’ Show

Ryman Auditorium Earns 3rd Consecutive Theatre of the Year Honor

Ryman The Ryman Auditorium was named Theatre of the Year for the third consecutive year on Thursday (Feb. 7) at the 24th Annual Pollstar Awards, held in Los Angeles.

The 2,363-seat Ryman Auditorium was nominated along with five other theatres: Austin City Limits at the Moody Theater Austin (capacity: 2765), Beacon Theatre in New York City (capacity: 2829), Fox Theatre Atlanta (capacity: 4670), Nokia Theatre L.A. Live Los Angeles (capacity: 7100) and Radio City Music Hall New York City (capacity: 6013).

During the past 15 years, the Ryman Auditorium has won the title five times.

For the second consecutive year, “Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley” will return with an all-star lineup of hit songwriters.

Rhett Atkins, Tom Douglas, Marv Green, Ben Hayslip, Natalie Hemby, Luke Laird, Shane McAnally, Wendell Mobley, Jeff Stevens and several surprise guests are set to perform at the event, which is presented by Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40 and co-sponsored by SunTrust Bank.

This year’s event will be held on Thursday night (Feb. 28) from 7 p.m. until midnight at the Renaissance Hotel’s Belmont Room. Food and beverages will be available. A CRS badge will be required for admittance.

Eric Church To Release Live Album in April

Eric Church LiveEMI Records’ Eric Church will release a 17-track live album, Caught In The Act: Live, on Tuesday, April 9. The album will feature songs from Sinners Like Me, Carolina and  Chief. The album was recorded at Chattanooga’s Tivoli Theatre in October 2012 and is Church’s first live recording. A double gatefold vinyl version of the record will also be made available on National Record Store Day, April 20.
