Keith Urban Performs With The Rolling Stones

Keith took to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night as, a surprise performer at the legendary group’s sold-out show.

“If I had have been offered either a trip to the moon or sitting in with The Stones, I would still have been strapping on my Tele saying screw the moon,” said Keith Urban

Urban performed “Respectable” from the group’s 1978 album Some Girls.

With nearly 50 artists confirmed, the Chevrolet™ Riverfront Stage will be the hot spot for daily concerts during the 2013 CMA Music Festival, Thursday-Sunday, June 6-9, in downtown Nashville. Fun and family-friendly, the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage is free and open to the public.

The performances on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage will kickoff on Thursday, June 6 at 10:00 AM/CDT with a high energy show from CMA Award-winning recording artist Sara Evans. 2013 marks the first time Evans has opened the Festival. She has 15 CMA Awards nominations to her credit, including six for Female Vocalist of the Year. The “HonorOne Campaign” Gains More Support

HonorOne CampaignCountry music stars Lucas Hoge, The Roys, Danielle Peck, Jett Williams, Buddy Jewell and Andy Griggs recently provided their support to the newly launched “HonorOne Campaign” by recording public service announcements and detailing their personal experiences with the military.

The PSAs recorded by the artists, challenge ALL 300 million Americans to spend $10 and show their support for HonorOne, the organization which assists service men and women and their families. For each $10 spent at www.HonorOne.org, the supporter will receive a God Bless the USA Reminder Coin. Additionally, the supporter will be named on a patriotic shadow box gift to a wounded veteran. Each gift is handmade in the United States by disabled workers. 100% of the profits are donated to the best military charities, including those that provide vital family and post-traumatic stress disorder counseling for soldiers returning from the battlefield. Singer/songwriter Erika Cole recently signed a management deal with Capri Nashville, a division of Capri Artist Management, effective March 25, 2013, announced the firm’s founder Christian Barker.   

Ms. Cole, a 2011 graduate of Berklee College of Music, moved to Nashville, Tennessee a little over a year ago to pursue her dream of vocal performance.  Coming from a tightly knit farm town in upstate New York, she was raised on the music of Pasty Cline and Aretha Franklin.  Immersed in this soulful sound, she developed a deep love for music and found her comfort on stage.

Tickets for the Nightly Concerts at LP Field are sold out a record-setting six weeks in advance of the 2013 CMA Music Festival! Demand for four-day ticket packages means single night tickets will not be available for LP Field concerts, CMA announced today.

George Jones’ Funeral Open To The Public

George Jones’ funeral will take place on Thursday, May 2nd at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, starting at 10 am and will be open to the public.

“George would have wanted his fans and friends everywhere to be able to come and pay their respects along with his family,” said publicist Kirt Webster.

“Thanks to George’s friends, fans, and loved ones for the outpouring of love at this terrible time,” said Nancy Jones. “I love you all.”

Chris Young To Sing National Anthem During Aaron’s Dream Weekend At Talladega

Two well-known national personalities – country music superstar Chris Young and noted news journalist and recording artist Robin Meade – have been selected to sing the National Anthems during Aaron’s Dream Weekend (May 3-5) at Talladega Superspeedway.

Young will give his rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” prior to the Saturday, May 4, Aaron’s 312 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, which is scheduled for a 2 pm (CST) start on ESPN. Meade will provide the fans her version on Sunday, May 5, moments before the start of Aaron’s 499 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, set for a noon (CST) green flag. Goodbye To A Legend, George Jones Passes Away At 81

Country Music Hall of Famer, Grand Ole Opry member, and Kennedy Center Honoree George Glenn Jones died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was hospitalized April 18 with fever and irregular blood pressure.

Born September 12, 1931, Jones is regarded among the most important and influential singers in American popular music history. He was the singer of enduring country music hits including “She Thinks I Still Care,” “The Grand Tour,” “Walk Through This World With Me,” “Tender Years” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” the latter of which is often at the top of industry lists of the greatest country music singles of all time.

“A singer who can soar from a deep growl to dizzying heights, he is the undisputed successor of earlier natural geniuses such as Hank Williams and Lefty Frizzell,” wrote Bob Allen in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s “Encyclopedia of Country Music.”
