King Calaway Releases Highly-Anticipated Debut Album, RIVERS, Available Everywhere Now

October 4, 2019 (Nashville, TN) – After a whirlwind year, rising Nashville band KING CALAWAY has released today their debut full-length album Rivers via BBR Music Group’s Stoney Creek Records – available everywhere NOW. The 12-track album was co-produced by Robert Deaton and Ross Copperman. Copperman also penned several of the tracks amongst other songwriters including Mitchell Tenpenny, Devin Dawson, Teddy Geiger, and many more.

The band expressed their excitement stating, “Rivers is a milestone in all of our lives and a new chapter in our journey as a band. We could not be more proud of what we have created.”

King Calaway will celebrate the release with two television performances. The band of six will perform their hit single “World For Two” on The Today Show on October 7 and foot-stomping title track “Rivers” on The Late Late Show With James Corden the following day, on October 8. These performances will mark the band’s debut on both shows.   Hailing from around the globe, the band first came on the scene with their eponymous EP, of which all tracks are included on their new album in addition to 7 new tracks. In the short time since their debut, King Calaway has already taken the world by storm – from performing with Ricky Skaggs at the Grand Ole Opry, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, making their CMA Fest debut, opening for Garth Brooks at one of his stadium dates, to headlining a festival in Gibraltar, King Calaway has already accomplished major milestones most Country artists can only dream of. The band was lauded by Rolling Stone for bringing an “exuberance to the stage…each taking solo parts between lushly harmonized chorus parts.”

TRACK LISTING:

  1. No Matter What – (Andy Albert, Paul DiGiovanni, Jordan Schmidt, Mitchell Tenpenny, Devin Dawson)
  2. More Than I Do – (Nate Cyphert, Ben West, Laura Veltz)
  3. Rivers –  (RuthAnne Cunningham, Teddy Geiger, Bruce Fielder, Tom Parker, ØJM)
  4. Obvious – (Steven Lee Olsen, Nolan Sipe, Brandon Day)

  10. World For Two – (Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne, James Abrahart)
  11. Love the One You’re With – (Stephen Stills)
  12. I Did – (Logan Turner)

ABOUT KING CALAWAY:
After a whirlwind year since their debut EP was released in January 2019, King Calaway is proof that there’s strength in numbers. Their eponymous EP in January 2019 features hit single “World For Two,” which became the #1 most added song at country radio in its debut week. Their first full-length album Rivers – out now on BBR Music Group/Stoney Creek Records – builds on the five-song EP’s success, with seven new tracks and was executive produced by Robert Deaton and Ross Copperman. After being named one of the seven new country acts to watch out for by Billboard, the band continues to take the country music industry by storm from multiple performances at the famed Grand Ole Opry – including an incredible performance moment with the legendary Ricky Skaggs – to making their late night television performance debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and an appearance on the internationally acclaimed show Neighbours. They’ve brought their energetic live show to various stages, including a CMA Fest debut and opening slots for Rascal Flatts and Garth Brooks. Hailing from across the globe – from the small towns of the American Midwest to the small coastal country of Gibraltar; from the Atlantic Seaboard to the Central Belt of Scotland – King Calaway brings a worldly perspective. They’re country stars for a new generation, singing songs that erase the boundaries between genres and countries. King Calaway isn’t looking to blend into the crowd. They’re not even looking to fit in. They’re in the business of standing out…and King Calaway stands tall.

Sam Hunt Introduces New Song – “Kinfolks”

World Premiere Thursday, Oct. 10 at 4pm CT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 9, 2019) – Multi-Platinum-selling, award-winning hitmaker Sam Hunt introduces fans to his brand-new song, “Kinfolks,” written by Hunt with longtime collaborators Zach Crowell, Jerry Flowers and Josh Osborne. The world premiere of “Kinfolks,” including its release on all digital and streaming platforms, takes place tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. CT with the song officially impacting country radio on Oct. 14.

“When I think of ‘kinfolks,’ when I think of that phrase,” says Hunt, “I think of my family, but also I think of my people back home – beyond family. It’s my buddies who’ve been a part of my story from the beginning. I’ve made a lot of new friends and met a lot of new people who are important to me since I’ve moved away, but that core group is still my core group. It’s like that old saying, ‘you can’t make old friends.’” Hunt leans on that sentiment, exemplifying the importance of bringing a new relationship into the mix and comfortability of home.

Hunt has been dropping hints for “Kinfolks” all week with images and lyrics on his socials teeing up the highly-anticipated new release. Currently in the studio finishing up the project expected in the new year, Hunt gave a taste of new music to a packed Bud Light House Party event in Calgary last month, performing the reflective “Sinning With You” with an ecstatic crowd.

Fans have eagerly awaited new music from the record-breaking star since last year’s “Downtown’s Dead,” the follow-up to Hunt’s 6x Platinum “Body Like A Back Road,” and his GRAMMY-nominated, Triple-Platinum-selling debut album, Montevallo.

About Sam Hunt:

Sam Hunt’s GRAMMY-nominated, Triple-Platinum-selling debut album, Montevallo (MCA Nashville),topped the Billboard Country Albums Chart in its first week and remains the best-selling debut album for a country artist since 2011. Called “stylistically provocative” by The New York Times and “deceptively phenomenal” by The Washington Post, Hunt has received accolades from Associated Press, Billboard, Los Angeles Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, SPIN Magazine, Village Voice, The New York Times, The Washington Post and more. Since the Montevallo’s 2014 release, Hunt has accumulated over 6.85 billion global streams and has earned 22 million RIAA certified units. The album produced four No. 1 singles and five Platinum and Multi-Platinum-selling hits including “Leave the Night On,” “House Party,” “Take Your Time,” “Break Up In A Small Town” and “Make You Miss Me.” Hunt’s three-week No. 1, 6x Platinum-selling, GRAMMY-nominated smash, “Body Like A Back Road” shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart where it remained for an unprecedented 27 consecutive weeks, shattering the record for most weeks atop the nearly 59-year-oldchart. Written by Hunt, Zach Crowell, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, “Body Like A Back Road” was the No. 1 most-streamed and No. 1 most-downloaded country song of 2017, and the No. 4 most-downloaded and Top 10 most-streamed all genre song of 2017.
