‘Dolly Parton: 50 Years At The Opry’ Airing Tuesday, Nov. 26 On NBC

NASHVILLE  – Country music superstar Dolly Parton celebrates 50 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry with a two-hour television special “Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Opry” which airs Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 9-11 p.m. ET/PT on NBC Television. 

The special highlights the global superstar’s 50 years as a member of the iconic show and features performances from Parton and some of her superstar friends performing in her honor– Dierks Bentley, Emmylou Harris, Chris Janson, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Margo Price, Hank Williams Jr. and others. The special also includes archival footage of Parton’s most colorful and exciting moments through 50 years on the Opry stage as well as interviews with the superstar and artists she’s influenced.

CMT To Honor Brandi Carlile With “Impact Award” At The 2019 Next Women Of Country Celebration

NASHVILLE – November 7, 2019 – Today CMT revealed that GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and performer Brandi Carlile will be honored with the 2019 CMT Next Women of Country “Impact Award” at this year’s celebration recognizing the next class of rising female country stars. The 7th annual celebration, co-hosted by Martina McBride and CMT’s Leslie Fram will take place in Nashville on November 12 at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum.

Carlile will be the fourth recipient of CMT’s “Impact Award,” joining the ranks alongside previous recipients including Maren Morris (2018), Kelsea Ballerini (2017) and Brandy Clark (2016). The illustrious award is presented to a female artist for outstanding achievements and contributions to women in the industry, while impacting songwriting, recording, radio airplay, record sales, streams, media impressions, awards and touring in country music over the past year. Julia Michaels And Jordan Davis Release New Song “Cool Anymore”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – MCA Nashville’s Jordan Davis has teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated artist Julia Michaels for a new collaboration titled “Cool Anymore.” Written by Jordan and Julia along with Nicolle Galyon, Ross Copperman and Emily Weisband, the track encourages listeners to let their guard down and just be themselves. Jordan and Julia also premiered a special video for “Cool Anymore” with YouTube today, Nov. 8; watch HERE. The video was directed by Eric Ryan Anderson, who shot Jordan’s previous videos for his back-to-back No.1 Platinum hits “Singles You Up” and “Take It From Me.”

“‘Cool Anymore’ is a song about not taking things too seriously,” says Jordan. “We spend a lot of time playing shows and it’s easy to get caught up in it, but this song is just a reminder to leave work at work. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 7, 2019) – Nashville Ballet’s newly released trailer for Nashville’s Nutcracker kicks off the holiday season starring Draper Witherspoon alongside a few of the Ballet’s professional Company dancers.

Just like Artistic Director Paul Vasterling’s unique version of The Nutcracker, the trailer celebrates Nashville’s rich history with locations including Phillips Toy Mart and Belle Meade Mansion as viewers get a sneak peek into the magical life of darling Clara, played by Witherspoon.    

Nashville’s Nutcracker will take the stage at TPAC this December with music performed live by the Nashville Symphony. Tickets start at $35 and are on sale now at nashvilleballet.com/nashvilles-nutcracker.

Tickets for ‘Hamilton’ At TPAC go on sale Monday, Nov. 11

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Producer Jeffrey Seller and Tennessee Performing Arts Center announce that tickets for Hamilton will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available at TPAC.org and in person at TPAC in downtown Nashville. Tickets will be available for performances Dec. 31, 2019 – Jan. 19, 2020.

There is a maximum purchase limit of eight (8) tickets per account for the engagement. When tickets go on sale, prices will range from $79 to $199 with a select number of $349 premium seats available for all performances. Additional fees will apply to online purchases. There will be a lottery for $10 seats for all performances. Lottery details will be announced closer to the engagement.

Jeffrey Seller notes, “It’s tempting to get tickets any way you can. There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Nashville engagement should be made through TPAC.org.”

Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

The Hamilton creative team previously collaborated on the 2008 Tony Award®-winning Best Musical “In the Heights.”

Hamilton features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, casting by Telsey + Company, Bethany Knox, CSA and General Management by Baseline Theatrical.

The musical is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater.
