Line-Up Of Hit Songwriters Announced For Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley at CRS

Songwriters Continue To Increase Presence At Country Radio Seminar

For the second consecutive year, “Bob Kingsley’s Acoustic Alley” will return with an all-star lineup of hit songwriters.

Rhett Atkins, Tom Douglas, Marv Green, Ben Hayslip, Natalie Hemby, Luke Laird, Shane McAnally, Wendell Mobley, Jeff Stevens and several surprise guests are set to perform at the event, which is presented by Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40 and co-sponsored by SunTrust Bank.

This year’s event will be held on Thursday night (Feb. 28) from 7 p.m. until midnight at the Renaissance Hotel’s Belmont Room. Food and beverages will be available. A CRS badge will be required for admittance.

Blake Shelton To Debut New Video on ‘Today Show’

Blake Shelton will debut his new video for “Sure Be Cool If You Did” on NBC’s Today Show on Monday (Feb. 11). Shelton will also announce details on his upcoming album release. The episode will air from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. ET.

Eric Church To Release Live Album in April

Eric Church LiveEMI Records’ Eric Church will release a 17-track live album, Caught In The Act: Live, on Tuesday, April 9. The album will feature songs from Sinners Like Me, Carolina and  Chief. The album was recorded at Chattanooga’s Tivoli Theatre in October 2012 and is Church’s first live recording. A double gatefold vinyl version of the record will also be made available on National Record Store Day, April 20. The package will include four additional tracks and a special whiskey-infused 7-inch.

Caught In The Act: Live features raw performances of songs like “Pledge Allegiance To The Hag,” “Smoke A Little Smoke,” “How ‘Bout You,” “Creepin’” and more.

The CRB Achievement Award is presented to an individual artist or act that, through their creativity, vision, performance or leadership has made a significant contribution to the development and promotion of country music and country radio.

Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves And Josh Turner Added To The Grand Ole Opry At CRS

Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves and Josh Turner, along with Greg Bates have been added to the performance lineup of the “Grand Ole Opry at CRS” show set for February 27th. As previously announced, Grand Ole Opry members Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and Vince Gill along with Dustin Lynch and Scotty McCreery are also set to perform.



Gill is set to host the special opry performance, and Radio Hall of Famer Bill Cody will be the announcer for the event, which is sponsored by Humana’s My Well-Being.

CRS 2013 New Faces of Country Music Show Lineup Announced

CRS Executive Director Bill Mayne states, “We are excited about the reaction to this event at the Seminar. Support from both the Radio and Records community has been overwhelming. It will certainly be one of the highlights of CRS this year”.

HLN followed country music entertainer Craig Campbell during a recent tour stop in Atlanta for the network’s popular series “Road Warriors.” Cameras captured Campbell at home, on the road, enjoying his favorite restaurant in the city, performing for a capacity crowd at Wild Bills and competing at his favorite past-time, corn hole! The behind-the-scenes “Road Warriors” segment with Campbell can be seen Thursday, February 7 at 9AM EST during Morning Express with Robin Meade on HLN.
