Song Review: Ann Marie | “Cowboy Up”

Ann MarieUp and coming country artist Ann Marie has a new single out entitled “Cowboy Up”.

This song is uptempo and sassy as Ann Marie asks her man in the song to “cowboy up” if he wants to be her man.  The song and Ann Marie almost put me in mind of Shania Twain – similar in style.  If you enjoy Shania, you will enjoy her, too.

Overall, I think this song has a fun feel to it, catchy and great production.

Rating 4 out of 5 stars.

Show Review: Ashton Shepherd @ Dave & Buster’s

Just had the pleasure of attending Ashton Shepherd’s acoustic show at Dave & Buster’s on Thursday, the weekly show sponsored by the Big 98 radio station in Nashville.  To be honest, I wasn’t really that familiar with Ashton’s music prior to attending the show.  I had heard of her, but that was about it.  However, after having the chance to talk with her and hearing her in-person, she MADE me a fan.  She is very personable and endearing.  Her performance was her singing and accompanying herself on guitar where she showed not only how skilled she is on guitar, but is a great singer and entertainer, as well.  She engaged the audience constantly by telling stories in-between the songs and really showed her personality to the packed, overflowing room.

Definitely someone that I would want to see perform live again!

Song Review: Joe Nichols “Sunny And 75”

Joe Nichols never disappoints and with this new single “Sunny And 75”, I’m sure there are plenty of new fans that he’ll make because of it.

“Sunny And 75” is an instant hit in my book. It’s upbeat, catchy, well-written, and with the undeniably strong voice of Nichols, fans are sure to love this one.  It has a sound that both traditional and contemporary country fans alike will enjoy.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars.
