Critically acclaimed symphony show Music City Hit-Makers (MCHM) returns to Cheekwood’s Swan Lawn for the fourth annual “Songwriters Under The Stars” on August 25 and 26th. The two-night concert series will feature some of Nashville’s most successful songwriters including Kyle Jacobs, Jessi Alexander and Marcus Hummon on Friday night and Hillary Lindsey, Rivers Rutherford and Chris DeStefano on Saturday night. The songwriters will perform their chart-topping hits with the Music City Symphony.“We are especially excited about this year’s double bill,” exclaims Charles Dixon, creater of MCHM. “Fans of songs and symphony are in for an extradordinary musical event in an unique and very intimate setting.”
Frequently described as “the most famous people you’ve never heard of,” the Music City Hit-Makers consist of writers who have penned hits for Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, George Strait, Kelly Clarkson, Wynonna Judd, Reba McIntyre, Celine Dion and many others.
