2nd Avenue Gets An Upscale Facelift with Grand Opening!
SEEN Nightlife + Event Space will officially open it’s doors on Saturday, November 17th at 10pm. The new nightlife venue has been operating under a “soft open” status for the past two weeks and has already received rave reviews from industry executives, musicians, DJ’s, promoters, entertainment reporters, socialites, Tennessee Titans and more!
In the mist of all the great Honky Tonks that line Broadway, now sits a place where music fans can dance to a different beat and that beat is under experienced and excellent leadership.
SEEN is owned and operated by Doug Green, the owner of MAI, Nashville’s most successful nightlife venue for the past 4 years. Mai housed some of Nashville’s most popular weekly parties as well as major shows such as – Questlove, Will I Am, Skrillex, AfroJack, 12th Planet, R3hab, Pretty Lights, Adventure Club, Above and Beyond, Miguel, LMFAO and many more.
Mai has closed, but the beat has not stopped – all of the parties will pick up and move with the staff to this new location on 2nd avenue. “On October 31st we closed the doors of MAI for good” says Green. “After 4 amazing years we decided not to renew our lease on 12th avenue and move the fun downtown. We wanted to bring a different vibe to the Downtown area, so I partnered with other nightlife experts in Nashville. We love and appreciate our Country music roots, but we are MUSIC CITY and hope to represent another side of the industry.”
Located at 114 2nd avenue south (across the street from Joe’s Crab Shack,) SEEN is a 500+ capacity, multi-purpose venue with advanced production that is un-paralleled to anything Nashville has seen. This space is complete with video mapping, LED Screen, unique video elements throughout the room, intelligent lighting, 3W lasers and a 20-thousand watt sound system and more.
SEEN is now booking for showcases, concerts, #1 parties, private parties and more and will also continue to bring you all of the weekly events you enjoyed at MAI that anyone can come enjoy!
Tuesdays – 10pm till 3am – RECOGNIZE. Nashville’s number one old school hip hop party.
Thursdays – 10pm till 3am – THE SOCIALITE. Nashville’s longest running upscale urban dance party.
