NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On July 26, country music artist Jerrod Niemann made a special visit to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to help launch the 11th Weekly Bedside Performance Program for Musicians On Call (MOC) Nashville. Performing his latest single, “Shinin’ On Me,” his round of performances coincides with MOC’s ongoing celebration recognizing five years of committed service to Music City, bringing live music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.
“Musicians On Call is an amazing program,” shared Niemann. “You get to meet all of these wonderful children and their families. They are going through such a difficult time and I hope my music can make a difference by brightening their day. It was such an incredible experience to perform – all these children have definitely made a difference in my life.” Video highlights of Niemann’s MOC visit available HERE.
MOC introduced its first program to the Nashville community in April 2007, bringing live music to patients’ bedsides at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Expanding its program, MOC Nashville now offers 11 weekly Bedside Performance Programs in six area hospitals. With the help of artists like Trace Adkins, Lady Antebellum, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker and many more, the organization has successfully delivered the healing power of music to more than 52,000 patients, families, and hospital staff in Middle Tennessee.
