BRANTLEY GILBERT has quietly built himself into a back-to-back platinum selling underdog.  By tapping into the gut of the outlier, the roughneck, the downhome and the downtrodden, the songwriter/rocker from Jefferson, Georgia has written songs torn from their lives – and delivered hard hitting performances that made his TAKE IT OUTSIDE TOUR one of the summer’s biggest tours.

As Gilbert heads into his final weekend at Denver’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater – with a first show that sold out in March and the second not long after – he is working to release some additional tickets for Saturday (10/15)’s show. Having played to 14,806 in Detroit and 15,038 in Cincinnati, demand remains intense for the man who has penned 6 #1 singles – including Jason Aldean’s “My Kind of Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem.”

“We were talking about how crazy the summer had been,” Gilbert says, “and all the people who were coming out to rock with us. Since the Red Rocks shows had sold out so fast, it seemed like a lot of people didn’t even have a minute to get tickets. So we are working to free up some more tickets. Since this is it for the TAKE IT OUTSIDE TOUR, I want to give as many people as possible the chance to get out to the show.”

His winter/spring BLACKOUT 2016 arena tour played also to unprecedented numbers, as the man who won the American Music Award’s Favorite Country Album for Just As I Am took his music to the heart of the rust belt, the true Midwest and across the South in the dead of winter. The TAKE IT OUTSIDE amphitheater tour has also seen the BG Nation turn out night after night.

“The people who love my music like to rock hard, to have fun, but they look a little deeper than people think they do,” the man The New York Times hailed for his “active intelligence about melody and texture” explains. “That’s why we try to take all the songs even further live. Because if you love the records, we know you’re gonna want it to hit you between the eyes when you come out to the show. And that fires us up.”

That fierce need to push songs like “Country Must Be Country Wide,” “Bottoms Up” and “One Hell Of An Amen” is what’s going to make Gilbert’s THE DEVIL DON’T SLEEP 2017 TOUR push the limits between what a country show is all about and his unique blend of hard rock, country songcraft and dashes of church music and hip-hop. Gilbert is fired up for his final two shows of 2016. Those who can get there and score one of the few tickets being released, this promises to be an intense weekend.

“These shows have to carry me into next year. I’m going to get out there and take it as far as I can. It’s going to be two nights where we leave it all on the stage.”
