Country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be returning to host “Country Music’s Biggest Night™” for the eighth consecutive year in 2015. “The 49th Annual CMA Awards” airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 4 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

CRAIG MORGAN ANNOUNCES 9th ANNUAL CHARITY EVENT   BENEFITTING THE DICKSON COUNTY CRAIG MORGAN FOUNDATION

Craig Morgan, one of country music’s most adventurous entertainers, will host his 9th Annual Charity Event benefitting the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation on October 17 in Dickson, Tennessee. Known for his high-flying skills on the motocross tracks, the country music star and award-winning TV host will go green in 2015, starting with a golf tournament at Greystone Golf Course, followed by a family-friendly festival from the city’s War Memorial Lawn, and capped with a memorable concert with Craig Morgan and friends. Tickets are on sale starting Saturday, August 8 at CraigMorgan.com and HERE. Additional details and participants for the October 17 events will be announced in the coming weeks.

BILLY CURRINGTON’S 10TH #1 SINGLE “DON’T IT” CELEBRATED IN NASHVILLE

ASCAP, BMI, the CMA and Music Row celebrated the team behind Mercury Nashville recording artist Billy Currington’s tenth chart-topping single, “Don’t It,” at a party held at the CMA offices on Monday, August 3rd. The hit song was co-penned by ASCAP songwriters Ashley Gorley and Jaren Johnston, who were honored for their twenty-first and sixth #1 songs, respectively, along with BMI co-writer Ross Copperman, who celebrated his fourth chart-topper. Publishers Combustion Music, Sony ATV Music Publishing and Warner Chappell Music Publishing were also on hand to congratulate the group. “Don’t It,” which was released in October of 2014 as the first single from Billy Currington’s upcoming sixth studio album, was produced by critically-acclaimed ASCAP producer Dann Huff.

ASCEND AMPHITHEATER’S GRAND OPENING WEEKEND SOARS WITH SOLD-OUT SHOWS & RAVE REVIEWS

Nashville’s new outdoor live concert venue, Ascend Amphitheater, officially opened its doors to the public this past weekend, kicking off opening season with four sold-out shows and a free open house for the community.  With an official ribbon cutting that morning with Nashville’s Mayor Karl Dean in attendance, Eric Church kicked things off on Thursday night to a capacity house in the “sterling new facility overlooking the Cumberland River and the downtown skyline” (Rolling Stone) and continued the festivities on Friday night as he played to a second sold-out crowd.
