Show Review: Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival Tour

imageKenny Chesney’s sold out opening night of The Big Revival Tour in Nashville this past Thursday at Bridgestone Arena was filled with hit after hit and special guest appearances.

After being off the road for 2 years, Chesney is back in full force with the aptly-named The Big Revival Tour.  Along with tour mates Jake Owen and Chase Rice, Chesney is set to take country music fans by storm as the tour has already sold over a million tickets to date and only just beginning.

Both Rice and Owen brought their A games on Thursday night and Owen’s beachy-themed set went particularly well with Chesney’s beachy vibe.  Although, it was Chesney himself who brought the house down with an over 3 hour long set.  He seemed to be having a blast up there celebrating his birthday along with opening night and bringing some special guests with him to celebrate the special occasion.  Special Guests (in order): Taylor Swift, Grace Potter, David Lee Murphy, Uncle Kracker, and Joe Walsh.  My favorite being the Taylor Swift drop-in.  That was completely unexpected and very much appreciated.  Always a supporter of her.

If this doesn’t bring Kenny Chesney an entertainer of the year award this year, I will be very surprised.  His voice is as strong as ever from the beginning to end of set and he seems to be enjoying every minute out on that stage where he truly belongs charismatically entertaining the crowd with his high energy performance.  From the opening of his set, which features a very cool video reel to the very end, he’ll leave you wanting to come back for more as he leaves it all out there on the stage for the fans.

If you don’t have your tickets yet, make sure you grab them while you still can.  This concert is well worth the cost and you’ll be getting your money’s worth from this consummate entertainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars.

My sisters birthday was the 27th of March, we were going to see him when he was in Calgary Alberta but the starting price for the tickets were over 200.00 a piece and they were quite high up not even close to the stage I am sure that’s why he didn’t sell out that’s a whole lot of money and of course its not like seeing him stateside with a bunch of others as we’ll, I gotta admit my sis’s absolute favorite artist of all time is and always will be @The Tim McGraw had he been there I have a great feeling we too would’ve been there as she would never stop crying if she missed a chance to see him, I know Kenny is great too, after all Tim was the one who showed him how its done.
