In a business of dreams, Rainey Qualley has had several come true in recent months. She signed her first record deal, heard her first single on the radio for the first time and signed with a major booking agency among them. This week, she had two more come true on the same night – or nights, actually. She opened for one of her heroes, Willie Nelson, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the famed Ryman Auditorium.
Revered Country Music Hall of Fame member Reba presented the first CMA Foundation Humanitarian Award to acclaimed artist, radio personality, entrepreneur, and esteemed member of the CMA Board of Directors Kix Brooks at a prestigious evening in his honor Monday at City Winery in Nashville.
Just a week before their first album in over a decade, Feeling You! The 60s, hits stores worldwide, KC and The Sunshine Band is honored with a multitude of awards from BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.), recognizing their long-standing career and outstanding contributions to the music industry through iconic hits like “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It),” “Please Don’t Go,” and many more. The band’s frontman, Harry Wayne “KC” Casey was present at the BMI offices in Nashville, Tenn. today to accept the coveted awards from BMI Director and Writer Publisher, David Preston.
After announcing his 2015 World Tour late last year, Grammy-nominated vocalist Chris Young is growing his global tour, adding dates in Asia and Australia to entertain worldwide audiences.
