Big & Rich will take center stage on ESPN during theAutoZone Liberty Bowl halftime show on Monday, December 29, 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition to being featured among the biggest highlights of the game, Big Kenny and John Rich will be honored with the bowl’s Outstanding Achievement Award at the President’s Gala on December 28.  Past recipients include Danny Thomas, Elvis Presley, B.B. King, Lou Rawls, Alabama and The Temptations.

Darius Rucker Premieres Original Holiday Tune on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday, Dec. 22

imageThree-time GRAMMY award winning entertainer Darius Rucker will appear on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday, Dec. 22, performing his original holiday song, “What God Wants For Christmas.” The tune appears on Rucker’s first Christmas album, Home For The Holidays, released on October 27 on Capitol Records Nashville. Rucker co-wrote “What God Wants For Christmas” along with the other original, “Candy Cane Christmas,” for the 12-track album, which also features holiday standards such as “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow.”

LUCY HALE CANCELS WINTER DATES DUE TO VOCAL STRAIN

imageRising country music singer and Pretty Little Liarsactress Lucy Hale announced this morning that due to a recent strain on her vocal cords her upcoming run of dates in early 2015 would be cancelled.  “I am devastated that I can’t be out performing for my fans who have been incredibly supportive,” noted Hale, “but I have been advised not to embark on a tour at this time. You know I hate letting y’all down and thank you for your understanding.”

While making media appearances in New York City, Arista Nashville’s The Swon Brothers received a surprise dinner invitation from The Voice’s newly crowned season seven winner, Craig Wayne Boyd. The Swons, likewise veterans of The Voice and Team Blake, grabbed a bite with Boyd at New York’s Bond 45, where fans were delighted to spot the stars and get a few photo opps of their own.

CITY WINERY RELEASES “UBERIZED” MOBILE TICKETING PLATFORM

imageCity Winery, the unique 300-seat music venue with locations in NY, Chicago, Napa and Nashville, has announced today a major innovation with its mobile ticketing program.  The “luxury concert venue,” founded by Knitting Factory founder Michael Dorf, released the “seat-picking” system when it launched its own proprietary ticketing platform in 2008. Since then, the company has experienced tremendous growth in sales with upwards of 300,000 tickets selling a year and 90% of the 300-seat shows selling out on a monthly basis—all tickets sold through their own website.
