Country Music Star Dierks Bentley And Ole Smoky® Tennessee Moonshine® Align For Brand Partnership

Dierks BentleyMulti-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley and OLE SMOKY® TENNESSEE MOONSHINE® announced today that they will join forces in a multi-year partnership across tour, media and digital platforms.  First up, for Bentley’s RISER TOUR, which kicks off tonight in Charlotte, NC, the moonshine maker will provide a tailgate party for fans in a throwback 1920’s style saloon with a modern country vibe featuring signature OLE SMOKY® drinks, music and specialty merchandise at participating venues.

“When I first moved to Nashville, I lived down at the Station Inn and really dove head first into the bluegrass community…I used to beg my way into pickin parties with those guys because I was eaten up with that sound and that lifestyle.  And when you surround yourself with banjos and fiddles, there’s bound to be some shine there too,” said Bentley.  “All of that influenced who I am and the music I make today.  Ole Smoky is a great partner for me and my fans out on the RISER tour this year…they’re going to help us get the party started early out in the parking lot and set the tone for a rowdy night.”

“We are thrilled to be launching our partnership with Dierks Bentley as he starts the RISER tour,” said Joe Baker, founder of Ole Smoky Moonshine. “Just like Ole Smoky, the tour is about bringing people together who love country music and having fun. We can’t wait to see the fans dancing, laughing and sharing their stories over our moonshine.”

Seven albums into one of country music’s most-respected and most-unpredictable careers, award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley continues to grow. His latest evolution comes in the form of his critically acclaimed and No. one selling album RISER. Throughout his career, Bentley has mixed elements of modern country, classic country, bluegrass and rock, maintaining an unmistakable identity while constantly reinventing his sound. His six previous studio albums have sold more than five million copies, notched 11 chart-topping singles and earned 11 GRAMMY nominations, countless CMA, ACM and CMT nominations and membership at the Grand Ole Opry. Bentley’s headlining 2014 RISER TOUR with special guests Chris Young, Chase Rice and Jon Pardi continues through the summer. Big Machine Label Group’s Dot Records Signs On Seven Staff Members

Dot RecordsDot Records’ General Manager CHRIS STACEY today unveiled  seven staff members who have been hired for the iconic label’s promotion efforts.

In late March, The New York Times first broke the news of the legendary establishment’s resurgence and announced the 20-year industry veteran’s appointment, who previously held posts at Warner Music Nashville. Remaining in Nashville, Stacey reports to Big Machine Label Group President and CEO Scott Borchetta and can be reached at 615.846.7745 or chris.stacey@bmlg.net.

“I look at the team that we have assembled here at Dot and the entire Big Machine Label Group and I know that we cannot only compete, but win. Newly named Director of National Promotion Kris Lamb is such a perfect fit to spearhead this team, where we have such an amazing balance of experience, relationships, intelligence, promo skill and hustle. I cannot wait to unleash this team on our first single!” exclaimed Stacey.

Under Stacey’s leadership, the Dot Records’ powerhouse team will consist of staff members with multi-genres backgrounds as well as internal hires within the Big Machine Label Group:

KRIS LAMB (Director of National Promotion) is upped in the label group family, where he most recently served as the West Coast Regional for Big Machine Records and was integral in the careers of Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Danielle Bradbery and The Cadillac Three. He will relocate to Nashville and can be reached 615.846.7750 or via kris.lamb@bmlg.net.

JAMES MARSH (Director of Southwest Promotion) joins the team from Warner Bros Records, where he served as Southwest Regional Promotions Manager. Based in Dallas, TX, he is available at 615.846.7747 or james.marsh@bmlg.net.

BILL LUBITZ (Director of West Coast Promotion) will remain based in Las Vegas, NV, where he was most recently at Black River Entertainment in National Radio Promotion and West Coast Regional. He can be contacted at 615.846.7752or bill.lubitz@bmlg.net.

MICHELLE TIGARD-KAMMERER (Director of Midwest/Northeast Promotion) previously Sr. Director of Brand Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at Country Radio Broadcasters and will be located in Nashville. She can be reached at 615.846.7751or via mtk@bmlg.net.

EJ BERNAS (Director of Southeast Promotion) comes from Curb/Universal, where he served as Sr. Director of Promotion. Remaining in Nashville, he can be contacted at 615.846.7749 or ej.bernas@bmlg.net.

RACHEL DOBSON (Promotion Manager) joins the label from Capitol Records Nashville & EMI Records Nashville, where she served as Promotion Coordinator. Shewill be based in Nashville and is available via 615.846.7748 or rachel.dobson@bmlg.net.

GARRETT HILL (Executive Assistant) is a staple within the Big Machine walls, previously interning with the company and working as the Traffic Coordinator for the label group. He can be reached at 615.846.7746 or garrett.hill@bmlg.net.

Under the Big Machine Label Group umbrella, Dot Records is armed with the same tenacity and poised for similar success that both BMLG President/CEO Scott Borchetta and Republic Records CEO Monte Lipman have enjoyed. Their previous joint venture, Republic Nashville, launched the careers of Florida Georgia Line, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band and Cassadee Pope, scoring eleven #1 hits and selling over 30 million tracks in a mere five years.

Comparably, Dot Records will be headquartered in Nashville and will utilize the combined resources of Big Machine and Republic Records. The Universal Music Group, parent company of Republic Records, now owns the original Dot Records catalogue.

Dot Records’ success from inception in 1950 relied on finding, developing and marketing great music regardless of genre boundaries. That mission will remain intact as artists’ signings and incredible new music from across the globe are revealed in the coming months.
